What happened to Deja Vu? In the late 90s and early 2000s my best friend and I would go often to the club (we knew the door girl) and always had a good time. They had multiple stages and several talented and attractive strippers. Well, after a decade of being too busy to go, my girlfriend and I went this previous Saturday and were very disappointed. We had to pay $40 for the two of us to get in and I was stunned that the club was now reduced to only one stage and the top tier seating was now roped off for "VIP". Our stiff entry fee entitled us to free soda (which we dont drink) and it obviously gave us a free pass to enjoy the nasty attitudes of the strippers. Maybe its the new popular thing for the girls to be in perpetual bad moods and to just stand around and glare at customers. Another staple I noticed at Deja Vu were guts. Yes, even the skinny girls had nasty gravity-defying guts. Not a single girl on the Saturday night shift was tone or in shape. Sad. Eventually my girlfriend spotted one girl out of the crowd she wanted a dance with and we talked for a few minutes about how nice Deja Vu used to be, as she had worked there for supposedly several years. We paid the $5 admission to the private area and had two couples dances that were surprisingly short as the DJ was cutting songs off about what seemed like a minute early. The dancer was OK, but I dont think she knew how to entertain a couple. We paid for our fun and left, commenting in tandem about the gravity guts, bad attitudes and how much the club has declined in quality over the past 10 years. Ill stick to Mons for pretty girls with better attitudes. If were going to pay $20 per person, I dont want to look at unattractive strippers who dont know how to put on a decent show on stage. Walking around the pole and bending over isnt performing, its being lazy.

I got ripped off. My friend had a great time, but I on the other hand did not. It started out very nice, I got a dance from a pretty woman. She did the same grinding move the whole time, without changing up anything (2 songs). After spending some time at the stage, I got another dance. It was good. I again sat by he stage, and I had a woman approach me asking if I wanted a dance. I very much so did. I gave her $50 (2 dances) and she had her friend come back. I said I only wanted her, but she wouldnt dance without her friend. Im not attracted to black chicks personally, but I gave her $25. As soon as I did, the one I wanted asked me to go to the backroom with her and her friend, and said it would be great. I was half drunk, so I was on board. Gave her another $300. At this point, I didnt even get my 3 dances I just paid for. We go to the backroom, where I have another woman come and try to get me to give her $150 so she can join in. After a few minutes of her working that angle, she leaves and the girls finally undress. Now, $375 in, they finally strip, I get literally one song, then Im escorted back out front with hem asking if Ill come back. Short answer ladies; no. I have no plans of returning. Short version: I was promised 3 dances and 15 minutes in the backroom, payed $375, and was escorted back out front after only 1 song. Ive never felt so displeased at a club in my life. Girls are pretty, music is good, ambience is good, but the service is terrible. Sorry.

I had the opportunity to visit Deja Vu in Tampa for the first time this past Saturday night. From the hostess at the counter to the waitress easily some of the most warm and friendly people I have ever run into at a gentlemans club. Its a nude club so no alcohol is server but you do get free soda and juice with the cover charge. (However there is a bar next door that you can go to for adult beverages and return to the club afterward) The night I stopped in it was Glow Night and they were playing alot of club music and the ladies where wearing lots of glow necklaces, and bracelettes. The layout of the club is quite nice kind of in a half moon theater setup so good viewing from almost any seat in the house. Very nice dancers and they had nice specials on the VIP dances, etc. A couple of special call outs Brittney one of the cocktail waitress was fantastic with a spunky spirit and a fantastic smile and great service! Any place would benefit from her bubbly personality! Also I have to highlight the very lovely Natasha. A very beautiful woman and exceptionally sweet too. I should also mention they have a full kitchen as well so if you do get hungry you dont have to go anywhere. They also have Hookas available for your smoking (tobacco!) pleasure. I will be sure to stop back in the next time I am back in Tampa!

Even though it was busy on Saturday night, it was like a giant fishbowl. Ive never encountered a more "laid back" attitude anywhere, and it might not be a good thing. I watched 6 or 7 girls go onstage and only have little old me tipping them. The girls were okay, a couple of them stand out. I like my girls at a healthy weight, and these girls were definitely not the scrawny, unhealthy looking toothpicks you find at other places. The girls that came up to our group were friendly (I cant tell you how often I get ignored as a woman in a strip club), a couple of them dragged my more-than-willing friends to the dance area. FULL NUDE FULL CONTACT DANCES FOR $20! WHAT A DEAL!! I dont like that the other patrons were... trying to hit me up? is the phrase? I guess at the end of the night, my overall assessment is that... You wouldnt "hang out" in a car dealership. You wouldnt just sit at a slot machine just staring at it. You wouldnt stiff the waitress who serves you at a restaurant. The arcades closed because people stopped bringing quarters. BRING SOME MONEY AND YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME. Girls take care of those that take care of them.

$20 entrance fee.. under staffed on entertainers. But well staffed in security, management, bar... Sat for quite a while, not a single girl talked to me (or really any of the other patrons).. wouldnt been terrible if it didnt take 15 mins to get someone on stage. Then the songs were ridiculously cut short. Really what keeps patrons in the establishment is the fact they spent 20 to get in the doors. Pretty bad experience; honestly deserves 1 or 2 stars.. But its clean.. Nice setup.. open late. But the door fee and lack of entertainers/ interaction, removes any drive to want to compensate dancers. Found myself skeptical on what dances actually would cost. Meanwhile 5 dancers just clocked out. Greed at this establishment will keep you on edge and your wallet closed... Patrons here arent smiling.. that means the establishment is screwing the dancers and customers. Definitely will not return. Feel bad for the girls that work here.
