I am giving all hotels with this shared problem one star: the air system doesnt work properly. That is, it probably works as its programmed to, which is meant to save the company money, and not meant for the comfort or sleep quality of the customers. It is warm and stuffy in the room (yes, with the central airs fan on "high" and set to its lowest temperature,60°F, for hours). It never reaches the lowest temperature. Then, to add insult to injury, they stop the air conditioning completely in the middle of the night when they assume no one will notice. Considering at least half the point of a hotel room is to sleep, I am not rating hotels that do this with more than one star. I cant sleep in them. And yes, I call the front desk; yes, they "send an engineer" to look at the air system in the room; and no, that never changes anything for the second night. The front desk always seems ignorant to the issue. Considering how many hotels do this, I find that astonishing. Its the same thing every time. I end up asking for a portable fan (this place did not have one, apparently, which surprised me considering how large it is) and opening the windows throughout the night if possible. When on the first floor, having windows open all night isnt exactly safe. Absolutely frustrating and terrible. I dont know why more people dont complain about this. What is this, the Twilight Zone?

called in advance for early check in, but when I arrived the room wasnt ready. They said they would get it cleaned right away, fortunately a colleague was also staying so I was able to work from her room while waiting for mine. 4 hours later, the room was finally clean...and because it was the room right next door to where I was waiting i knew that it hadnt actually been cleaned for 4 hours but had been used as the storage room while they cleaned the rest of the floor. The room my colleague was in was supposed to have been cleaned when she checked in, but housecleaning came to her door 3 times asking if she wanted the room cleaned (she had just checked in). Some of the Hilton Honors perks were forgotten which isnt a big deal, but after waiting for hours to get into my room just made the whole experience more frustrating. The room itself was nice, very large. The hotel complex is bigger than I expected so you want to get your room before taking luggage out. The restaurant location had gorgeous views and great outdoor seating with heat lamps and fire pits. Overall Im sure it is usually a great hotel; my causation for anyone needing early or late check in or check out.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights this past weekend, 9/30-31/2014
After unloading our luggage into the room we were assigned I looked up and saw a large water stain with mold growing around it. I asked for another room and was told by the front desk that I could come back up the hill and pick up keys for another room or they could send someone with them. The response about the mold was, "Oh wow!", no apology for putting us in that room nor for our inconvenience to have to relocate.
I chose to have the keys sent to us. I had already told the front desk that my husband has disabilities and asked for a ground floor room so walking up and down the hill wasnt a good option for us.
The man that brought the keys basically handed us the keys and took off. No offer to help move anything. We have stayed at several Hilton Hotels and have always had good service and nice, clean rooms and I had counted on the same for this trip. I am including a photo.

The location is good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was more like a nice motel than a hotel. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors, especially the bathrooms. The restaurant was just okay, but the lounge was very nice. We arrived to the sounds of air compressors, jack hammers, and other construction equipment. This is because they are doing a lot of reconstruction. My wife and I went there to relax for four days, but it was so unpleasant we left early. We made the reservation through the Hilton website which says nothing about the reconstruction and closed facilities (pool, lounging area, and fitness center). I would strongly suggest calling the hotel before booking. Overall, I think that when the construction has finished, it will be a good place for families, but not for people who want to get way from it all.

Service was awful- from check in to check out. There were no personal touches but even worse, the bare minimum wasnt even met. No eye contact, no information about the grounds or amenities. As for the room, my room overlooked a mobile home community as well as a freeway. There was a wet towel in the safe when we arrived... And an accompanying musty smell in the room that didnt go away. The worst part of the stay was the restroom. The shampoo bottle was half empty and provided just enough shampoo for one person. The bathtub was shallow and we were discouraged to even try to take a bath as there was no bath stopper. The shower had two options - trickle and mist. Taking a shower here was one of the hardest things Ive ever done in my life. I understand that water is a previous resource but I did not appreciate the forced water conservation.

This Hilton was in a pleasant and quaint part of Sonoma. Our stay was relaxing since it was quiet and clean. The staff here helped us enjoy our stay with quick room service, providing us amenities we asked for within minutes. We stayed on the 2nd floor and were able to hear pounding footsteps on the floor above us, although we did not mind too much. During our breakfast brunch, we were confused as to whether or not breakfast was free since instructions were provided to us on how to get to breakfast, but the front desk did not say that it was not included. When we got to breakfast, the wait staff allowed us to get food but did question is about prior breakfast atrangements until we were already seated and well into our meal, making us feel obligated to stay and pay. Still, we ended up paying and the breakfast was delicious!

This is a nice Hilton Hotel in Santa Rosa California. Its especially nice if you are on government business and paying the government per diem rate. The room is comfortable. Large heated swimming pool. Nice clean Jacuzzi hot tub. Small but functional workout room. The structure itself is dated, but theyve done a good job keeping the room modern. This is a wooden frame building, so if you have kids I would not recommend staying on an upper floor. Walking hard definitely vibrates the floor and Probably sounds like an earthquake in the room below. Santa Rosa is surprisingly convenient if youre visiting Bodega head or the beaches around Jenner. Its certainly a much more affordable option than trying to stay in one of the beach area lodges.

For 275/night the room was a JOKE!!! Dont be fooled though, the front desk staff gets kickbacks if they can get the 275 out of you!! If you are a walk in REFUSE to pay the 275!! When you do that they will make believe to "Talk" to their manager and come back with a lower price. Should you agree to the lower price they will hold your card for a deposit. MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE FRONT DESK TO GET IT BACK!!!!!!! They will tell you it takes 2 or 3 days to get your deposit back, DONT BELIEVE IT!! Its been over a week and I am still getting the run around about getting my money back!! if you have no other choice Id say stay here, but if you can sleep in your car Id recommend that first so you dont get ripped off!
