I would give this Rec Center a ZERO but , unfortunately its not an option. I tried to sign my daughter up for softball and it was the worst thing ever. First she gets a coach that is completely dedicated to a different team (his MAIN team) which he somehow manages to bring to to this park. That itself can make the beginners feel very intimidated. There is no room to grow as a team or build chemistry. Then I try to switch her over to a different team (FAIL). I got a phone call from a man that had coached my Oldest daughter in the past. Mind you , the past meaning 7 years back. He gave me a lecture on how he takes coaching "seriously" and how he still was holding a grudge for my oldest playing for 2 teams at the same time. Really Gabriel !!! this was about my daughter wanting to play the sport NOT about the coachs EGO. She was denied, all because he was being a child and selfish. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how the director can allow this behavior from a grown "adult" . I could not find the words to explain to my daughter why she was denied to be on the team. All I can say is PATHETIC !!!

If you want to put your child in team sports this is not the place to do it ! North Hollywood Recreation Center staff is incompetent I am seeing now ! ! I was charged $90 dollars for her to play baseball this year ! They have you order the sizes for uniforms ! DID ANY OF US GET THE SIZES WE ORDERED ON THE TEAM....NO.....DID WE GET THE TEAM NAME PUT ON THE FRONT OF THE SHIRTS NO ! The front of the shirts say North Hollywod Baseball ! What the hell is that ! No team name on them ethier ! My daughter does not fit in her baseball pants or her baseball shirt ! They didnt have kids XL so we ordered her Adult Small ! We are 2 month in & have no scheduled ! The disorganization on this park staff is unreal ! So as I said dont pay your hard earned money for nothing ! Im now sorry I ever brought her to play her baseball here !

My son and I where called to the park by a spiritual drumming played by the beautiful Aztec people all the way from as far as Arizona. I fell to my knees and tears flowed. It was the most enlightenment Ive ever felt. My hubby is Aztec n Arapahoe. My son must have felt his ancestors...he ran up to the dancers and started to dance. They had a beautiful alter w the fire and flowers...cant say enough..except Ill be there next year to celebrate again, ty there is video if u google it.

Nice pool, very clean. Was told by a worker this is really a pool for kids and the adult one is in Van Nuys. If you are an adult dont go swimming in the afternoon cause they will close the deep end for lifeguard training. Hours after 7/4: 11-1 (open) 2-5 (deep end closed) 5-6 (open)
