Hello, Very nice staff, pleasent easy to talk to,family owned feeling.although the young girls working there definetly need to be better trained in fish keeping , fish sexing and fish tankmates, after all thet are suppose to be the people in the know how..when customers are not sure of fish sex or behavior, staff always runs to manager( sorry dont recall the name ),shes knowledgeable, but only one person and supper busy ,so many times its difficult to have her total attention for your purchase, owners the two brothers definetly (IMO)need to spend more time there,at least on weekends, when they are the busiest.. most troubling issue is,theres no-where on the web site thats keeps you informed of new fish arrivals..some of us dont live down the street ,so if you want to know whats new either you make the long drive there (with many times empty results ) or you buy online, and not waste time and gas...also for sure needs to carry more sa/c/a cichlids,,sajicas ,nicas, elliotis etc ( at the very least not the same stuff every other fish store also has0..not whole world is into only africans.. avoid yourself a world of headahe , my suggestion to everyone, always quarintine your fish from here, half of the time they have ick...prices are average to online and other fish stores along the way there... on the upside very decent selection on smaller fish, barbs, tetras so on.worth the visit every now and then but not all the time, without even knowing what they have that week....just an honest consumers opinion..

Ive been coming here for over 20 years. I have always found the best advice and the hardiest fish here. From ponds to tropical fish to aquarium plants, they are able to offer the largest variety I have seen in Miami. With their help, I have just set up a successful planted aquarium. While I expect businesses need to make a profit to survive, they dont come off pushy at all. If anything I was encouraged to pace myself. First purchased plants. Came back and tested water and was told to come back in another week because my tank wasnt ready. Helped me pick a few fish to start off but encouraged me to hold off on buying more until we knew my tank was succeeding. After this weekend the only downside I see is that I have now stocked my current tank and dont have room for more fish. Seems like it might be time to start another tank!

Beautiful, healthy fish with a nice variety of freshwater species. Its not as cheap as places like Pet Supermarket, but neither are the fish kept in tiny, overcrowded tanks. There are a lot of cichlids and goldfish, with an acceptable variety of livebearers, gouramis and new world cichlids (ram cichlids, angelfish, discus...). They also have plecos, oscars, corys, tetras, barbs, black ghost knife fish, archerfish, and other random interesting fish (and some amphibians and small turtles). Aquatic plants and tank supplies are also available. I got 2 gouramis, 3 corys, and a nice piece of medium-sized driftwood for around $35. Ill definitely go back. Try Exotic Aquariums on Bird Road just east of Palmetto if you want saltwater fish, really exotic things, or cheaper plants.

As they replied below... They now have a dedicated row to exotic SA Cichlids which is the only thing they were lacking from the years ive been visiting. They have a leg up on the competition and the prices are the best around. They have great prices on equipment and their juvenile fish are very healthy and active (and the best priced in their area). I was there this week and saw some beautiful juvie Vieja Synspylum, Red Dragon Flowerhorns, Black Belts, Salvini and many other exotic SA cichlids...It seems their working on expanding thir SA inventory and thats a great move with everyone selling nothing but African Cichlids. Love the place and their healthy fish...Never had an unpleasent visit or a sick fish.

We have previously bought fish from the fish farm. It is a bit pricey but we like the selection and the non-store atmosphere. Moreover, every fish we have bought there has been healthy and has survived the transition to our pond or fish tank.Today we went back for more. My daughter had her heart set on a specific butterfly koi. One of the staff members (Genesis) helped us. When she couldnt reach the fish, she called another young lady (Krystal). Krystal stepped into the enclosure and got that one. Both were very helpful and helped us choose 4 kois. They were definitely a pleasure to work with. Best customer service; Keep them around. Genesis also helped us when we bought 3 cichlids and one betta.

This is one of the best places to get some exotic style freshwater fish. Even though they have a huge selection of goldfish and Kois, they also have a great selection of interesting fish that can really make your aquarium look like a saltwater tank. The entire staff is amazing and they all know their stuff when it comes to maintaining a healthy tank and fish collection. Prices are so reasonable and they offer Rewards point when you sun up for their program. Dont go anywhere else, this place is worth the trip just to even check it out once. You will not want to go anywhere else.

I have been here a few times (live far away) everytime i have been to the farm, i enjoy myself just looking around the tanks, if you truly love fish, then this place is for you, to say that they dont have this type of fish or that type is unfair as no business has EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME, I wish they would have " educational" type seminars for young ones and even for grownups that have always wanted to have a tank but have no idea on how to get started, they have wonderful space for that, just my little input, cultivate an educated consumer and you ll have a customer for life..

its a waste of gass if you dont leave around the area, these people have a lot of fish but more than 70% are goldfish or kois they have same prices as petsupermarket. when i came here a thought since its a "fish farm" i can get a good deal out of the fish here...but it wasnt the case...so my suggestion if you have a local petshop around your area you are defenetly going to find the same fishes and probably alot less expensive than here.....again i do not recomend this place

I am highly disappointed with this place. Have bought 3 turtles and all three have died within 2-3 weeks. They all experience the same problem. They dont eat anything. I bought the entire kit including the food. I tried feeding them watermelon, lettuce, strawberries as suggested by the manager and the end result was the same. Out of my money and a very disappointed and sad nephew. Not to mention the added stress of watching these poor animals slowly die.

This is the best place to go if your want to purchase SICK fish. Also, your whole tank will spoil and all your fish will DIE. They always have a fungus and ick problem that will never be cured because they have been treating it for years and the fungus/ick is immune to the medicines they use. Overpriced sick fish. Groupons are just to get people in who dont know the dangers to buying fish here.
