Great experience! The guides entertained us throughout the entire trip and kept us safe across all the rapids. The intermediate-level ride down Clear Creek lasted about 3 hours. We hit probably 10+ big rapids--stronger, steeper, and hairier rapids than the nearly continuous white water of the creek--in that time. We had one of our passengers fall out after a nasty bump with a boulder. At the direction of the guide, the swimmer made it to shore safely, and the remaining oarsmen dislodged the boat, allowing us to recover our lost sailor and carry on. All rapids on our trip could be considered class 3s and 4s, but this shouldnt scare beginners away. We had both a young novice--10-years old without any rafting experience--and our 70 year old grandmother at the oars with us. They both had tons of fun and managed the waves and rocks just fine. However, in general I wouldnt recommend bringing anyone incapable of swimming, whether due to inexperience or physical infirmity. Some miscellany. At the beginning of August, the water was about 50-55F. The rafting company provides helmets, personal flotation devices, and a choice of splash jackets or wetsuits. Rafters can pay $3 for neoprene water booties to replace whatever shoes they planned to wear, but these booties retain a ton of water. If you have big feet like me, no worries, they carry at least up to size 15 mens. All the equipment seemed frequently washed, though my splash jacket had a light odor. Pictures are taken and you can get a copy, though I dont know how much it might cost. I give the service a five-star review because they provided exactly what they listed on their website, they were efficient in processing the rafters, patient with all questions, and were generally nice people. I would pick their company again, and can say our group unanimously enjoyed the trip. Shout-out to John and his awesome mustache!

We have twice rafted with Liquid Descent, once in 2011 and again in 2014. While some of the personnel have changed, the enthusiasm, the service, the FUN has not. These folks obviously love what they are doing and have a lot of fun doing it, but that doesnt mean they are not professional and concerned with everyones welfare. They clearly explain the fun and the risks involved and what to do in case of a problem, all in a confident and knowing manner that will wake you up to the risks but put you at ease that they can handle any problem. We have never had any problems on our two trips. As soon as the float is done, our reactions have always been: "Can we go back and do that again?" We will always go back to Liquid Descent. We have only done the Beginner trips with them but will eagerly go with them on the more advanced trips once our youngest child is old enough.

I cant say enough nice things about our white water rafting group. First, they were so accommodating when I accidentally made my on line reservation for a Monday instead of a Sunday as I thought. They called in another guide to accommodate our party of 8! My only suggestion would be to make their on line registration calendar a normal Sunday thru Saturday format instead of the current Monday thru Sunday so old people like me can make correct reservations Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 children (ages 5 to 12) and we took the Clear Creek Beginner tour which was great for the kids and the adults. Our guide, Joe, was really good with the kids and quite entertaining!

Awesome experience!!! As soon as we pulled up and heard the good tunes blasting from the stereo system, we knew we were in for some fun. All the staff was really laid back but professional. They made us rookies feel really comfortable and made sure everyone was having a great time! Our guide "Hardo" was great, really knowledgeable about rafting (of course) but also about the history of the Cold Creek/Idaho Springs area. He was very patient with us "newbs". Also, maybe the most fun school Bus rides Ive been on since elementary school! Highly recommend Liquid Descent to anyone looking to have some fun on the rapids in Colorado. Thanks again Liquid Descent!

Spent my birthday here with my 19 and 16yo daughters and 12yo son, and this was our first white water rafting trip. Could not have asked for a better experience with beautiful scenery! All of the guides were super nice mixed with some humor! Joe was our raft guide, and he was amazing and very good. He gave lots of info about the rapids, did a great job of teaching us newbies how to maneuver, encouraged us and we just really had a good time visiting with him. We bought the flash drive and Im so thankful to have captured all of our fun memories, including our bailouts! Highly recommend this rafting company! Thanks for a great birthday!

Overpriced and they lied to me! I called to book a white water rafting trip, when we got there it was a float trip that didnt require any safety gear and helmets and they told us we would not get wet because it was a very calm river that you float down. When we asked about a refund since they neglected to tell us it was just an over-priced float trip they said no refunds and were very rude. Save your money and go somewhere that actually takes you white water rafting! Very dissapointig that we wasted half a day for this terrible company and their lack of customer service!

I like to start by saying a 5 star rating should be nearly unobtainable. 4 is great! My wife and 5 year old daughter took the class II/III Rapids together and had an amazing time. This was my, and my daughters first rafting, and second for my wife. It was enough excitement to make it family fun, but not to make us worry about our daughter(who had smiles the entire time). The guides were professional and entertaining. This was one of the best family activities we are done, and it was great. To our weeklong trip to Colorado.

This rafting company appears a little loosey goosey at first but once they start the introduction they get down to business. They know their stuff and are very through. Shawn lead our group and he knew his stuff. It was reassuring knowing that we had a medic running the trip. This is our second rafting trip so we went with the intermediate half day and our guide Neil did a great job. This is creek rafting and was way different from the river rafting we did last time. Much more fast paced with bigger rapids.

This is a MUST DO, you will NOT be disappointed!! We did the 1/2 day float trip in Kremmling CO. The rafting offered both relaxation and a few small taste of mild white water. Any age could handle this trip and enjoy themselves from start to finish!! Our guide was Richard and he did a EXCELLENT job of not just educating us but making us laugh and have a great time! He even went above and beyond by offering his phone to another couple to take pictures, and then sent them to all of us!

Went on the 11:00 AM Intermediate rafting trip yesterday — had a total blast! The water was nice and high, the rapids flowing fast, and the water a cool refreshment on a hot early-summer day! Was part of Joes crew today — assertive and professional, yet fun and personable (as were all of the other guides or staff you interact with). We cant wait to come back and do an Advanced run down the rapids. Liquid Descent is a great way to have an epic day in the Colorado mountains.
