If youre a sports fan, a basketball fan, a college basketball fan or simply a Philadelphian you cannot continue living your life without a trip to the Palestra to watch a Penn game. The oldest college basketball arena in the country is so steeped in tradition and its original architecture that youll quite seriously feel like youre going back in time when you enter. The hallways are cramped and the seating isnt modern. But the experience is borrowed from another time and one you will be forever grateful you had.

Such a cool building, and always has something going on.. I was there for the Penn relays & even though it was just being used for warm-ups & promotional stuff I still spent half the time gazing around at all the buildings details. Would love to see a game there!

It is very important to keep historic and memorable houses of sport in the system. Its as if the venue itself makes the match being played there that much more important. Kudos to Penn. and the Palestra.
