Great indie theater with attached parking garage. Get your parking verified when you buy your movie ticket to get reasonably priced, safe, low hassle parking. The theater itself is what you would expect and includes a snack bar stocked with the usual plus coffee and baked goods. The small lobby provides a few tables and chairs where you can peruse the many flyers and pamphlets announcing community activities mostly related to film and the arts. Overall the theater is clean and quiet, but its biggest draw is their choice of films, which includes picks you cant see anywhere else in the area.

My husband and I were here to watch a movie two years ago. The movie we were watching all of a sudden stopped. The manager gave us two tickets to return. Unfortunately, we did not get there soon enough since we live an hour away, had a baby, and life just happened. Anywho, I called to see if theyll still honor our tickets... they did! Thank you so much for having us back. Kudos to Bill who enabled us to have a date night, great parking at the Bourse, and delicious popcorn! Well definitely come back! Hopefully, soon and not in two years ^_^

My friend and I caught a movie here during our recent trip to the PA area. Its a wonderful old school theater (cheap concessions, intimate lobby and seating, posters on the walls, etc) and the staff all seemed super nice and glad to be working there. One of them complimented my friends shirt and he was supper happy. This is Tarantinos movie theater (for those who are unaware) so everything is shown in 35mm and he has a hand in whatever is on the agenda. For film buffs I feel like this is a must-do experience.

The theater itself is not bad; the tickets are a reasonable price (the food is a little pricey). Most of my movie-watching experiences were positive. However, I am giving this a 3-star review because I had a very bad experience with a staff member that diminished my enjoyment of the experience. She was extremely unhelpful and outwardly nasty when I asked her a question. The other staff, however, was helpful and courteous. Overall, this is my least favorite of the Ritz theaters, but its not bad.

Love the entire theater....coffee is decent and reasonable...saw IDA there...it went on to win Oscar for foreign (polish) film. Also loved "our little sister" (japanese) what a treasure that was! A yr ago I saw an Iranian film. I love this place! Admission is same as in my Bucks County neighborhood malls....seniors are $7.00, train from suburbs is $1.00 one way. Short walk from Jefferson station to 4th and market! Have lunch at the Bourse!! Food court! Something for everyone!! Delish!

They do Rocky Horror nights once a month here for only $10. They usually sell out, so get tickets ahead of time. They do a different preshow to old movies and other things. And they show more drama, B-level, and older movies. Also movies that have left other theaters then play here. They serve expensive popcorn and such snacks. They have an escalator down to the bigger theater.

Ive been going to the Ritz Five since the 70s, and to Ritz At The Bourse and Ritz East since they opened. You always have a unique viewing experience with the indie and foreign films that you cant see anywhere else. Almost all of the films are outstanding. The staff are courteous and helpful.

Ive always had good experiences at this Ritz. They tend to show Independent films (aka Hollywood trying to be experimental). I like that the theater is smaller than others and that they have a decent food selection. They seem much more old fashioned than other theaters around.

Since moving to Philly Ive been to this theater twice in a month. They have some great independent films playing and reasonably priced! $7.00- 7.75 on week days and day time. I will keep going back for sure!

Another of the three downtown Ritz theaters, this one features very eclectic independent films on its five screens including one very large auditorium. No cell coverage in the smaller theaters is a plus
