Great establishment and even greater staff! The museum is a great place if youre looking to host any sort of event! My team and I had reserved the museum to host a couple of events this past Christmas season and they were a pleasure to work with! They have a great theater room for live performances and a great fifth floor ball room that has a balcony with an amazing view of Independence Mall! If youre just looking to learn more about the Jewish people and their history, this is a great place to do that as well! I regret not having as much time as I wouldve liked to check all of the displays, but from looking at the ones I did, theyre filled with a lot of rich history and some pretty cool artifacts that are tied back to the Jewish people. This museum is definitely worth stopping by and spending a good amount of time here if youre interested in Jewish history. Would definitely recommend this museum to both people looking to host an event in the city and people looking to learn more about Jewish history!

Im I was THRILLED to see people of different racial and religious backgrounds in the museum. It is places like this that will ~ hopefully ~ wipe out the blatant ignorance & growing Anti-Semitism in America. I would LOVE to see the museum do more outreach programs to the schools and other community education centers. Unfortunately, with the propaganda being taught about the Israels "occupation" of "palestine" and the (non existent) "genocide" of this horrible, Nazi-supporting Arabs, it is the responsibility of ALL JEWISH PEOPLE to ensure that another Holocaust of our people does not happen! Thank you ~~ and SHALOM

Nice, quiet respite from the crowds and noise. Interesting place to visit to learn about orthodox or secular American Jewish society (sad some of the vile ones from Hollywood and politics had to be included). Very informative but there are some elements missing if the museum is showcasing American Jewish society AS A WHOLE, such as Messianic Jews who believe in Yeshua (unless I missed that somewhere...if I did, forgive me). I REALLY like their emphasis on WWI as much as WWII as that was when Nazism was truly born. I definitely recommend this place.

It was not very good when i went yesterday September 25th. The ladies who new about the exhibits were extremely unfriendly. They did not want to help you find things. They just said "figure it out your self. " Dont go here if you want any help from the employees. These museums are really going down hill. Also they had a small computer exhibit on display but there were no apple computers in it even though online they said they had some. They didnt even have the apple IIE black beuty on display like was advertised. Extremely disappointing.

We drove down form Long Island and were not disappointed. The exhibits are laid out well and very informative, including the many videos running. You need a minimum of two hours. We learned a lot about Jewish experience in America. And we also were delighted to see our towns elementary mentioned along with Levittown and my sleep away camp in the 1960s area. The area surrounding the museum is full of Philly history. Take their suggestion about the parking lot that was only $ 8, around the corner form the museum.

This museum was a very positive experience. It is more of a study of history than a collection of Judaica. It is also very oriented toward Jewry in America as opposed to the European viewpoint. It was interesting, and I definitely learned some new things. The layout was very pleasant. I was a little pressed for time and couldnt spend as much time as I would have liked. I am looking forward to going back sometime.

Very well thought out with a nice design and interesting methodology of displaying Jewish heritage and culture. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and they are always there to help explain to those that need clarification or have additional questions. The rotating exhibits are very educational and helpful, and bring light to many unknown or misunderstood aspects of Jewish life and history.

The museum has a great spirit and a first rate gift shop. The cafe is also well price-all of which are essential to a positive experience. They also have some clever ideas re Jewish food and customs which are always of interest and some great 50s furniture which turned out to be ideal for a snooze. In this particular Museum t he whole is greater than the sum of it parts.

A very interesting look at the history of American Jewry. Interactive exhibits keep things interesting for kids. The special exhibits about famous American Jews was also quite interesting and had some amazing artifacts. Plan time to find local parking. Admission rates were very reasonable. A great place for both adults and families.

This museum was state of the art--great interactive displays to keep kids engaged, lots for baby boomers to reminisce about and a great slice of history for everyone whos been part of the Diaspora. I could have spent another day there. Also, the architecture is extraordinary and across the street from the Liberty Bell!

Amazing and well organized collection. Okay, so I went in with my Jewish In-Laws, but, I stayed almost 4 hours because it is amazingly well laid out and organized by time period and key events and figures. A very interesting way to look at US History through the eyes of the Jewish perspective.

I dont really understand the purpose of this museum. Its not light enough to hold all types of exhibits like the Jewish Museum in NYC and not dark enough to compete with the Holocaust Museum in DC. But, its a gorgeous building and space, so I guess maybe events here would be fun.

Wonderful museum with a great collection of artifacts that tell the story of the Jewish-American experience. If you are a Smithsonian member make sure to mention it when you are ordering tickets, and make sure to bring your member card!

The information here is expansive. One 2 hour visit will allow for a quick overview. I recommend going for a day or going a few times. There is information ranging from immigration to faith to historical social movements.

Large and well thought out, with good insights for someone who has no Jewish heritage. The map of the exhibits had specific suggestions for what to see based on the amount of time you were planning to visit.

Brand new museum that leaves up to its motto; You do not know a half of it. Right now it is too crowded (which is understandable). Prepare to spend at least a couple of hours to absorb all the information.

This museum is an incredible Philadelphia attraction. The exhibits are modern and incredible, the museum is huge, and it is extremely educational. You could easily spend most of a day exploring it.
