We purchased general admission tickets for a bachelorette party for their Diva Royale drag show. When we called we asked if we purchased our tickets separately, would we still be able to sit together, they replied that its first come, first seated, so we would be seated together when we arrived. *They specifically stated "seated", so imagine our frustration that when we got there we were told that general admission tickets were STANDING ROOM ONLY! Now, its fine if thats their general rule, limited table space, we understand, however, we would have certainly chosen different shoes to wear knowing we were standing for 1 1/2+ hours. The doors opened at 7pm, show started at 8pm, so we planned on getting there at 7 to make sure to get good "seats". Well, again, we wish we knew that since it was only standing room, we didnt need to get there an hour early and kill time (standing), we could have stayed in our party bus and drank for cheaper and comfortable. So, all that being said, besides the incorrect communication, we did have a good time. Staff was personable (and easy on the eyes..lol) Drinks were half price I believe before the show started, then full price after 8, so I think a beer was $3, mixed drink was $6. Thats what I overheard, I didnt drink, so I cant say for sure. I did ask for a water, they gave me a bottle, no charge, which I appreciated. The talent was wonderful. They were friendly as they walked around the room before the show, very entertaining and interactive with the audience. Some of the personas portrayed were better than others, but was easily overlooked due to the entertainment and enthusiasm of the ladies! Another note, we were told the show went from 8-9pm, the show didnt end until around 945pm, which was great that we got longer entertainment than expected, but again, that was poor communication on their part since we had other plans afterwards and the party bus driver expected us to be done around 9pm. Nothing that ruined our night, but an inconvenience and frustrating moment due to incorrect information that was given to us. All in all, a good night, would probably do it again, but would want to be aware of those things.

Im putting this out there because my gut feeling tells me this is not an isolated incident. I witnessed a man beaten last night. We all know some nights things get crazy but what really hurt was hearing the staff member of ICANDY yell a racial slur at this man. Over ten staff members came out ready to fight which I understand you want to protect your coworker but as I was recording this because the police officer watching it couldnt stop the staff members I too was assaulted but fortunately it did not escalate for me. My wallet was stolen. And one other woman had hers stolen too. If it wasnt for the fact I did not leave and called more police to the scene I would not have been allowed back in and as a result found this womens house keys (the one who had her wallet stolen) If anyone out there has been experienced a hate crime from the staff members of ICANDY please write about it and and lets make others aware of what kind of place ICANDY is. Its not a safe space were ALL people can go to and more people should know that! Also, do not think your belonging are safe there too. Make sure to have them hidden on you just to be safe.

As a foreigner, I was turned away at the entrance by the rude doorman for failing to produce my passport, which I do not always carry with me. I presented a valid ID that indicates my name, residence, and birth date, which I have presented at other US establishments without any incident. I reported the incident to the owner, who responded promptly. He said that they are merely complying with a state law instructing which IDs are acceptable. A notice to this effect is posted by the door, which my companions and I did not notice when we tried to get in. He also assured me that they do not tolerate employees treating customers badly. I find the law unreasonable. I hope they appeal for its repeal because it is not in their or the state’s best interest to send an unwelcoming message to their foreign LGBT visitors. I am inclined to discourage my friends from visiting if only to protest this law.

First of all Im going to start of with saying Hi to all I-Candy Management, Employees and to all other People that comes across my review. The Management who runs The I-Candy club care about their guests and shows, They care about everyone having a good time. The Bartenders are awesome very friendly and they talk to you like Family, also the Front door person is so sweet, He always says Hi and gives me a Hug, when I enter the Club..Best place to hear good music, Also good bar food if you decide to eat, and the drinks are cheap and super strong! This is the place to go too to have a drink or two or just drink all night and put your dancing shoes on and dance your heart away with no worries.... I Candy has a lot of Space to dance, space to sit, space to drink. I truly Recommend I candy too anybody that want to have Fun...Come on It dont get any Better than That Guys Come On !

I was here a 2 weeks ago for their 2nd anniversary V.I.P. party and it was great that renovated the 1st floor and made it a Pub. I Loveeeeeee it here. Great crowd. No drama I know of. The 1st floor and outside is perfect. The two different themes on the second floor is to die for. If you want to watch a dancer dance in a shower then you need to hit the liquid lounge on the left. Then you have the dance floor to your right with a different lounge. The top floor is the out door deck where u can watch the stars and smoke if your a smoker and then its two more sections in the inside on the top floor. Plan on having my birthday party here. Its perfect for everyone. You have the bar and mellow atmosphere on the 1st floor and The party, smoking section, dance floor on the second and third floor. Its a must see and check out club.

The place is fine, the bartenders need a bit more training in customer service. Id fire them al and hire more humbile and empathetic bartenders. Bartenders can be a tad snobby, went there w my girlfriend (just a friend) and even she felt offended by the bartender. Apparently he was not having a good day. Aside from the bartenders, Its nice. Just like all gay business establishment the drinks can be pricey but more affordable than in most places, however it is to be expected. As long as you go there, have fun, dont be a stuck up queen diva you should be fine. Aside from my negative experiences with the bartenders, I have a pretty nice time there.

Having known this spot since it was "12th Air Command", I have to say that I miss the personality and organicness of the old club. It works for teeny boppers and those who only know this type of "Chelseafied" over done glam type of gay bar. The drinks are not "cheap" either (although the bartenders do make them well). It also has become one less place for the older crowd to frequent. I recently was there and the renovated dance floor looks great...but the music surely sucked. But like I said, if you are young and only know of this type of bar, then you probably will love it.
