This was our first experience at Coda and we will not be returning. A group of 15 of us purchased tickets from Upcoming Events for the Halloween Party being hosted at Coda. Half of the group showed up ~9pm and were able to gain entrance to the club. At ~11pm the remaining half showed up, waited in line for over an hour, and when they reached the front were told that their tickets were invalid and Coda would only be accepting tickets purchased from another site. We all purchased tickets from the SAME site. The issue isnt the money. Its the fact that you cannot get that time back and that it ruined Halloween plans. Coda has yet to resolve the issue or compensate the parties for their wasted time and money. Upcoming Events has contacted those people who were denied entry and stated that Coda permitted them to sell 200 tickets, but were unprepared for that number of people and it resulted in their customers being turned away. They are following up with compensation. In summary, this kind of service is unacceptable and no one from our group will be returning to an establishment that is disrespectful of peoples time, money, and has yet to take responsibility for their poor service.

I have never had a worse nightlife experience in my young adult life and my friends and I dont plan on coming back to this establishment. How they dealt with the "unexpected" crowd was extremely unprofessional. 1. If you allow different sites to sell tickets to your event, then you have to honor them. Thats plain and simple. I had friends who got in with THE SAME TICKETS I had and then my other friends and I are told our tickets are invalid/fake/expired?! NOTHING on the ticket said we had to be in by a certain time and all the emails told us our tickets were good for the entire night. 2. If you know a decision you make will make a huge population of the crowd angry, then dont aggravate them further by being rude. The bouncers we talked to and dealt with were extremely unsympathetic and were rude and mean. Overall the night was a complete bust and Coda has taken no responsibility in the matter.

As an actual music artist who played there multiple times, and not a jaded half-drunk imbecile, I must say Coda is my favorite nightclub in Philadelphia. Other nightclubs have given me so much trouble, stolen things from my friends, etc. But Coda has never given me one ounce of trouble. The workers are respectable and serious about their job, and the management books the best variety of artists. In my experience playing at Coda, I was treated like an actual artist and not like a second-class citizen (like some other Philly clubs which I prefer to not name). Through Coda Ive been able to meet countless amazing artists and connections, and I cant see why anyone would rate this nightclub less than 5 stars. Trust me on this.

It was okay. Supposed the be the hottest club scene in Philly right now...I beg to differ. I requested bottle service at the front door but the bouncers said there was a 4 bottle minimum for only 4 people. Thats just crazy.. so the manager comes down to say he can do a 1 bottle minimum like hes doing us a favor. We paid 325 for a bottle of SKYY vodka....cheapest vodka.. with barely any service at the table we had, but gave themselves a $75 tip...for them to pour 1 drink? does this make sense to you? Way overpriced, There nothing special about this place except for the DJ. There was awesome music. A mix of everything.

Hands down my favorite club/venue in philly. Always a great time, staff is great, drinks are strong, acoustics in the place are amazing, and Ive never not had a great time when I go there. Its the perfect size venue to catch your favorite artists performing and the open bars they offer are always great and affordable for what you get out of it. The inside of the place is very clean and modern compared to most other venues and clubs in the city. I have nothing but good things to say about Coda, I love this place,

Worst place ever. I never had such a horrible experience between management, security, coat check staff... It was such an embarrassment. Theres no wonder why theyre failing as a business. The open bar isnt even worth it when they only have one bartender working it and shes rude. Plus they are extremely sexist making the females wear booty shorts yet the guys are allowed to be fully clothed. Been there 3 times and each time my experience gets worse, never again! Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

The bouncer was extremely unprofessional. I had VIP service and he insisted I get in the back of the regular line without even asking who I was with. He was extremely rude, and I finally requested Chris and was allowed to go in. Also, the male bartender at the bar closest to the stage was extremely unprofessional and denied me water because I hadnt ordered a drink from him... Despite the fact that we had bottle service. Extremely disappointed in the male staff here.

Its not a nightclub - its a group of loosely connected greedy promoters, bartenders and club owners who have no idea how to run a place like that. Everything is low quality and everyone is extremely untrained. The bouncers were extremely rude and disrespectful. Good that we left because I heard someone was knocked out by a bouncer that night. The place should be on the ban list by the FBI and owners arrested/put out of business. Well, the beer was good though

Enjoyed Coda Nightclub very much. The music was good from the start. They played a variety of music. The crowd is a good crowd. I had no issues. I love the variety of people. I danced with guys of different nationalities. The bathroom was well stocked and clean. Only downside is the drinks were a tad bit pricey. But the drink was very good and I got a quick buzz. Ill be visiting Coda again!

Had a great time with some friends. Went on thier 2nd anniversary and they had open bar + admission for $14. I was skeptical but it was great! Well drinks of course but only $14 for 2 hrs open bar and music and dancing hard to beat. I havent been back on a regular night and Im sure it would be more expensive but the first experience was definitely a good one.

Nice place, friendly staff. First time there for the classic old school jam, Dj OK, but was not playing what I thought was old school music and he wouldnt take any suggestions. Had LL COOL J & Salt & Pepper as advertisment but DID NOT play one if there songs. FYI look @ the crowd & see what keeps them on the floor Mr. DJ!!!

Perfect small concert Venue! If your favorite artist hasnt rolled through here, they have never been on the come up! Saw Alina Baraz here and the atmosphere was amazing. Great lights as well. Only gripe was the speakers screeching when the mic moved passed it. Have a couple drinks and get ready for a good time at Coda.

This is the place that employs bouncers that have no professionalism or self control. If you dont know what Im talking about just Google "Bouncer knockout in Philly". It seems from the reviews that this club has a reputation for employing thugs. I would avoid at all costs.
