The short version of this review: Dont go. These guys need to step up their game BIG TIME. The long version: This is the eighth escape room that Ive done from various companies across the country. I had a bad feeling as soon as I walked in the entrance, after seeing a ceiling that had apparently fallen out and exposed the plumbing with no signs of repair. We walked into the main check in area that was cluttered and small. They didnt even realize that we had booked a game that day, but luckily they werent booked by anyone else. On to the game. We were walked down the hall to the "Mojo Room" and were asked what difficulty we wanted the game. We felt confident in our escape game abilities so we went for "Hard." This mean that we would only get one hint to start and one clue along the way if we got really stuck. The attendant let us in the room and gave us the first hint, and said "Good Luck." He didnt know that we had played games in the past, but if it were our first time doing it, this would have been terrible. There was NO direction whatsoever. We started searching for clues and found several items broken. One magnetic cabinet lock was completely broken, and the "tare" button for an electronic scale was broken. The couch had holes in it, and several vinyl records were broken. There were only about six clues we had to figure out, but they were so poorly done that it made it difficult. There were a lot of random items that lead nowhere on purpose - a tactic that was more a waste of time than a fun experience. We got out, but had to have some help with the electronic scale because the code to the next lock was given in fractions of an ounce. We left feeling very unfulfilled and disappointed. This company should send their team to some of the other escape games across the country to learn what an escape game should look like. It just seems like someone hopping on the bandwagon because of the recent surge in escape game popularity and trying to make a quick buck.

have only done one escape room prior to this for preface we attempted the room called cased closed but the hosts ended up getting us mixed up with another group and ended up doing the art gallery room. this wasnt a big deal but seemed a little unprofessional. the puzzles were at times difficult, but for my party, a large part of that came from poor fixtures that werent intuitive to use even when you had the proper solution. the game master was unhelpful more often than not and sometimes gave clues about facets we had already unlocked. my previous escape experience also spoiled me in that everyone got to contribute to the greater goal. in this one, it was a very linear series of puzzles and was not ideal for a group of 10, which even the room that we didnt sign up for was listed as optimized. more often than not, several members of our group would simply stand around waiting while the rest of us would yell at guesses at the only puzzle brought in front of us. linearity is simply not a good idea for a group and only so much can be accomplished at one time. if i hadnt done a room prior, id be very pleased with this experience. but having been through a more immersive room, in the end i found it enjoyable but very lacking.

Dont go!!! My boyfriend and I have done escape rooms abroad and thought this would be a fun thing to do on our vacation in Philly. We were put in a room with another couple we didnt know. The fact that they do this is hidden in their FAQs and in the fine print on the confirmation email. We couldnt change it. There was no mission whatsoever. We were just thrown in the room. Then in the middle the theme suddenly changed. It seemed all really just poorly planned. Lastly, we were told at the beginning that we would only be given hints if we asked for them. Instead, we were constantly given hints all throughout the game without even being given a chance to figure it out on our own. This was a complete waste of money. Dont go here!!!

Lame. Save your money. Broke down, poorly planned & overpriced. Really, really beat up & run down. Broken items & stuff not working properly. Inadequate air conditioning. Crowded, Smelly, gross. Not enough space for everyone to work together so some people get stuck watching others have all the fun. The two of us were in a group of 10 people that already knew one another & we were completely left out & felt like we were crashing someone elses party (& they certainly treated us that way!) I wouldnt bother with this again if it were free & I certainly wouldnt pay what they charge. Take some advice & put your money on dinner & a movie. Total waste of time & money. Not happy at all with this place.

I had the WORST time during my visit this past Friday. I thought this would be a fun and exciting experience, yet it was everything but fun. On top of me having no idea that my friend and I would be put in side of a group full of people we did not know. THE GROUP STARTED WITHOUT US. I made the reservations for 10pm and we arrived around 9:40 and the group had already started. When we got inside the room we noticed that the group of friends that was inside had already unlocked 3 of the 6 clues. ON TOP OF THAT… the group that was inside the group did not allow my friend and I to add in of help with any of the clues. It was VERY disappointing !!!!!

Really upsetting! Weve been to escape the room in Philly on walnut street and had the most amazing time that we couldnt wait to jump on another one. But this location was no where near the experience we had at the walnut location. For starters the room was comfortably hot but the worst is that they gave us a clue before we even found the what was needed for the clue, so basically we wasted 40 min to figure out the clue that threw us off. Just over all felt the staff wasnt really into it where as the other locations weve been to wasmuch morr interactive. Definitely wont be returning to this location butcant wait to try more escape games!

The concept is fun but it wasnt well executed. During the game the staff try to give you "hints" via a computer screen if youre stuck but since they arent watching the whole time we were given clues to things we had already solved. I think I would have had more fun if I didnt have to stand and wait over an hour in a waiting room with only enough seating for 7 people but as many as 20 people waiting at any given time.

I did the Philadelphia room with a group of ten. We made it out with 12 min to spare, so I guess the challenge level is pretty good. It was a pretty standard escape room, where you are looking for codes and combinations to unlock things. Knowledge of Philadelphia was only necessary one time. We had fun; I would definitely recommend doing these with a group that you know.
