If I could give this place a negative star I would! My cousin had her wedding here. The place is beautiful but the manager is terrible! Because this place is so small the wedding and reception had to be set up in the same room. So the wedding happened and then torn down to set up the reception. The bride and groom werent done dismissing people and they were already setting up for the reception without even having the ordourverrs ready! I was helping turn on votive candles in her center pieces when a worker said to me one of the vases on the head table had a hole in it and there was water all over the table and floor. (I inspected the vase there was no hole. Someone spilled it) I then turned to the manager and said "there is some water on the floor could we get it cleaned up before someone trips and falls." His reply was "I dont have time for that right now Im trying to set up this reception" in a nasty tone at that. I was kinda thrown off by his response as that couldve been a liability issue if someone did fall. I continued helping setting out name cards and such when I noticed there was 1 table that still needed 3 chairs at it. There was a worker carrying 2 chairs that could go to that table out the door when I kindly asked if he could put them at the table. The manager then storms over to me and very sternly says "I need to see you outside" the bridal party was on the back deck taking photographs when he precedes to yell at me and point in my face "that he has never been so disrespected by anyone in his life like he had by me that day" again thrown off by his actions I very kindly said Im sorry if I made you feel disrespected thats not my intention Im just trying to help but if you cant see that Im sorry" he didnt acknowledge my apology at all and stormed back in to finish whatever he was doing. The food was terrible, the fish was dry, the potatoes where dry, the prime rib(Atleast thats what we think it was) you couldnt even chew it. The only thing that was good were the carrots and chicken tenders. If he had understood that my cousin had to completely re plan her wedding venu as the beautiful riverside inn burnt down maybe he wouldve had a little more compassion. But handling business like he did was distasteful and I will never go back.

Immediately greeted when entering with a damp smell. After we were seated and placed our orders we noticed a crazy amount of flies in the bar/dining area. Had to swat them away from our appetizer the entire time. Their specialty crushed makers mark mixed drink was great, but a simple whisky and ginger ale was awful. Ordered the stuffed pork loin special and the "Artisan" Classico 8 slice pizza. When the food arrived the pork looked great, but immediatly noticed that the "artisan" pizza is obviously a frozen pizza crust, that they mistakenly cooked two stuck together. The top crust was totally undercooked and slimy dough, covered in seperated "homemade" mozzarella. Upon seeing the pizza we asked to pay for the pork, drinks (even the bad one) and the appetizer and just go. Anyone who cut that pizza could see if was a trainwreck before sending it out. When the owner left to correct the check and bring it back I happily paid for everything but the pizza. The chef proceeds to come from the back of the kitchen and tell me that he "didnt cook that pizza" and even though we waited 40 minutes for that one hed have one for us in "6 minutes no problem". Real step down from what it used to be the last time we were in the area (7-8 years ago). ALSO pretty weird their executive chef is 5 star reviewing his own place, right?

The owners are two of the nicest people known to man, and if your experience isnt perfect let them know- they will move mountains to make sure any issue you have is resolved and perfect before you hit the door. Food, ambiance, and staff are all top notch and their effort really shows in the small details- from the hand-picked flowers and decor to the menu they prepare to be a complete dining experience without being uppity or intimidating. Give the Franklin a chance, and they will absolutely thank you for it ten times over.

We have eaten at this restaurant in the pub area several times and thought the food was great. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Today we wondered if the place had changed hands because it was aweful at every level and we will not return. Looking through other reviews it is clear the inconsistency of food and service is an ongoing problem for this restaurant. We drive up to the Franklin area from time to time (living an hour away) and this restaurant was our go to place...but no longer.

Dan and his team were very helpful in making my Bridal Shower a dream! Any request, he was willing to assist in making my day perfect! The food was excellent and my guests raved about the charm of the venue and offerings! It was a perfect Brunch & Bubbly! I would highly recommend the Franklin and cant wait to have more showers there in the future! Thank you to the Franklin Staff!

Drawn into this gorgeous place for a quick lunch while visiting Franklin, and we were pleasantly surprised at the inviting atmosphere, friendly staff and did I mention that the food was delicious? Ordered chicken quesadillas and lobster roll, which were prepared and served perfectly. Looking forward to going to Franklin again just to eat in this cozy little spot.

The service was beyond slow. The servers knew nothing about the beers on tap or the drinks. The food was ok. I had pasta in Olive oil and garlic that was dry or over cooked. The shrimp skewers were good, but overall the dish was overpriced for its size. I guess this is ok for the area, but overall Im not impressed.

Went for wing night but they ran out of wings before we got there at 7pm. They did not tell us until after we had ordered drinks. Ordered some food which was of poor quality (over cooked, over priced personal pizzas) which took over an hour to get to us. Will not return.

Attended a wedding reception at The Franklin. Beautiful setup. Fits a lot of people with plenty of room. Food seemed better at other receptions attended here, but all in all good place for this.

Way overpriced for the quality of food we received. And we got attitude from the wait staff when we complained about the rubbery prepackaged avocados.
