This is probably the worst state/ national park that I have seen during my travels. And it pains me to say this because this park is only about 15 minutes from where we live in Phoenixville. My wife and I found this park very, very underwhelming primarily for two reasons: 1. There is close to no signage on the trails and my wife and I were lost for 30-45 mins. in the park trying to figure out a way to get back to the visitor center where we had parked our car. 2. On nearly every single trail one can walk, we saw tons and tons of horse manure lying all around us. Yes - you read that right; horse manure and thats because nearly every single walking trail is also open to horses and you know what horses do - they manure. And unlike dogs where owners are asked to pick up, horse riders can hardly be expected to pick up after they have gone galloping past. And hence for us, even as we were trying to look for our way back to the visitor center, we were trying to gingerly avoid the ton of horse manure all around us. In addition to those two big (yuge, really) complaints, my wife and I found little else to recommend the park. There were no bike trails that we saw, no restrooms, no water fountains on the trails. There are a few picnic spots and swing sets and perhaps those are redeeming features of the park but all in all, I doubt we will be going back there anytime soon. Finally, consistent with our dismal view of the park, we also saw very few people in the park even though we were there for about 3 hours between 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. and that too on a warm (80 degree weather) day over the weekend.

Easy to moderate hiking trails. Great horseback riding from your own or take a trail ride tour through Red Buffalo Ranch. Beautiful views of the accessable Skippack Creek. See native red sandstone, hemlock ridges, meadows, diverse plants and wildlife like mink, fox, whitetail deer, bald eagles, belted kingfishers, mergansers, the list goes on. Kid friendly playground and picnicking areas available along with pavilions for large parties. Fishing, hunting, trail riding and biking, hiking, Cricket matches, and day dreaming. What a gem of a state park.

Nice park. Either its me or I missed something but the trails are not well marked and it seemed easy to get lost. Make sure you find you way back to the car before it gets dark otherwise its really hard to find the parking area you parked in as they are not lit. And the park rangers dont seem anywhere to be found for help.

Beautiful place to hike/walk! Trails are very well-maintained. I wish the park map had the trails on it labeled or color-coded in some way, however. I was trying to follow one of the loops and couldnt figure out which way to go and ended up walking for nearly an hour in the wrong direction and having to turn around!

One of my favorite state parks in SEPA. Has amazing fishing all year and some great hiking trails. Not all the trails are marked well so be aware of that. It is easy to get lost if your not used to blazing trail. The middle section of the park has well maintained trails so i recommend them.

I enjoy everything that the park has to offer and am a frequent visitor for hiking, photography and fishing. The one drawback that I have experienced two of my last three visits was irresponsible dog owners not adhering to the leash law.

This is the spot. Nuff said. Want to take the family on a picnic to a "not so crowded park"? Want to fish for MONSTER TROUT!?!?! Go for a hike Or want to take the kiddies to a really nice and big playground? This is the spot for you.

Evansburg sucks, its full of bees, horse manure, and people smoking marijuana. One time a friend of mine saw people having sex there. The park is very poorly managed, and the trails are easy to to get lost on due to a lack of signs.

Has great trails for easy hiking or horseback riding, and access to a beautiful stream where you can fish or swim, but is not well kept in all areas, you need to be aware of poison ivy and paths that are a little overgrown.

Good place to get your head on straight if you live nature. Some decent facilities and trails. The only reason it didnt get 5 stars is because the paved trails and access roads seriously need repair badly.

Love this Park. Great trails. Well maintained. Bathrooms are always clean and open plus heated in the winter time. Theres a water spigot that can be used at all times too by the rest rooms.

Wonderful park. The "public use areas" can be a be a bit tricky to find, though, because the park is rather large, and the drivable areas arent. Plenty of hike and horse trails to explore.

Its such a gem I almost hate to tell anyone about it. I love to walk the dog on the many trails, especially on the days when traffic on the Perkiomen Trail will be heavy.

Great trails next to a river. Many campsites available, plenty of parking at the entrance of the park. The turn off germantown pike is a nightmare though.

I love being in this park. It has trails for me and my dog, a small playground, pavilions and campgrounds. It is well maintained and always a fun trip.

This is our local bike thoroughfare to the Perkiomen bike trail. In itself, a nice park with playing fields, clean facilities, and walking paths.

If the state actually took their commitments seriously you would have an incredible historic place
