Id like to start off by saying that Id been to the Royal Room one other time and I loved the vibe, atmosphere and the music. The food was DELICIOUS- my favorite, the Tequila Fettuccine, and the service not that great but the food made up for it. Not this time around though. So, I decided that I wanted to celebrate my college graduation by inviting my friends to eat some great food and enjoy music. We got there: we told our waitperson that we were having dinner but we were starting off with drinks and an appetizer. When we noticed that the chairs were going up on the table so we asked "are you closing, should we order our food?" And the waitperson says "Oh, the kitchen just closed; I didnt know it was closing and that you were ordering dinner." I told her that I wasnt there to eat appetizers and drinks and we did tell her we were having dinner; and she shouldve known that the kitchen was closing and told us to order our meals. I dont think that she was being honest about what she knew, and I believe that she just overlooked us. The entire time while we were there, she provided bad drink service. It was very disappointing, we spent over 50.00 for drinks and 1 appetizer and had to find another place to have dinner which ended up costing way more time and money which we wouldve spent at your restaurant! We ended up spending 500.00 at another restaurant. I was not happy with the service and I dont feel like her "I didnt know" excuse was sufficient enough to make up for the fact that she failed to get our dinner order in on time. I love the food but I doubt Ill be back there anytime soon, as I didnt feel that they really cared to make it up for us by at least comping something, a coupon- nothing. A sorry too bad attitude is not something that I look forward to experiencing at the Royal Room. I will not be recommending the place to anyone. And I wont be shy about where not to go for food and entertainment; already people have been asking me how my experience was and I told them that I was disappointed. I believe in great customer service, that is how we survive in this highly competitive field.

I love the Royal Room! I have seen some of the finest live music anywhere in a relaxed and intimate setting. The food is a big plus to the music. Unlike other jazz clubs, it isnt over the top and its priced right. Ive visited the Royal Room at least four other times and I am looking forward to Mardi Gras tonight! Keep in touch with the Royal Room thru their Google+ or Facebook page so youll know whats going on.

Really good food. A number of standard Mexican dishes but done in their own style that I really like. This place always has fantastic music and dancing. Not a club, but more of a public house where people of all ages dance and eat together. Programming is diverse world, folk, rock, old time, and my favorite: an all women fully costumed Brazilian Carnival 9 piece band. Fun times here!

I love this place. Its the perfect neighborhood jazz club, but with city-wide appeal. It draws a diverse, laid-back crowd that truly reflects the surrounding neighborhood. Great live music showcasing both the best of local music and fun stuff from afar, good food, and something going on every night of the week.

Come here for the music, not the food or service. Food wasnt bad, just hard to get and expensive for the quality. Burger was $18 bucks with cheese, bacon and mushrooms, $23 with a virgin drink. Best bet, get a seat at the bar and forget the table seating or eat before the show.

Ive performed here a few times and love this venue. It is intimate, has a small bar and good food you can eat in a nice little dining area. The place isnt quiet but it should not be as they have live acts play here all the time. Great place for a lively date!

I really like this place, so Im sad to say I am very disappointed about this evening. Music was excellent. Food was poor. It arrived at our table stone cold. Cmon, RR....you can do better than that. And after talking you up to my friends.

A great venue for live music, food and drinks. Ive enjoyed many great shows here over the years. Its a more subdued and low-key place to enjoy live music than some of the other more raucous venues in town.

One of the best places in Seattle to consistently hear QUALITY music. Period. Part owned by jazz pianist and composer Wayne Horvitz, who is instrumental in keeping the quality at a very high bar.

Very good food and drinks. Nice show, too. I saw Kailey Miller and a couple other people, too. Would recommend. Unfortunately no table service and had to go up to the bar to order.

Upscale jazz club with good food and cocktails. Its no gritty Kansas City club-- make a table dinner reservation or arrive early for a seat at the bar.

Really good venue to watch an intimate performance. And actually really delicious food and drink options to go along. Easy place to have a good time.

The food was good, although the portions were a little small. Otherwise, great venue. Only one server for the whole room and she did a great job!

Service can be slow during the show. Food is okay. Space is awesome for shows and if you reserve a table youre guaranteed a great view.
