Great park beside Lake Boren, a small lake next to Coal Creek Parkway in Newcastle. There is a concrete walking path in a figure 8 around & through the park. Playground equipment, two reservable picnic shelters, tennis courts, basketball hoops, a fishing dock over the bank of the lake, and public restrooms. Peaceful quiet park with large grassy areas lovely to walk in, do yoga, meet a friend while letting the children play, or walk the dog. Ample parking and easy access to larger city walking trails.

Incredibly small park. Before they let houses get built here you could actually walk all the way around the lake. Now you have to walk through the neighborhoods to get a decent walk. Would only recommend for the play ground. Otherwise its not worth it. Small non mortar boat craft were banned on this lake many a year ago. We use to enjoy taking our kayak out here but that is allowed no more. Only recommended for the play ground. Otherwise not really a park. Just a grassy well maintained hill.

Just saw July 4th Fireworks here today. Pretty awesome! Also the park has tennis courts and volleyball courts which can be used on regular days. There are sheds which can be booked for ~ $60 for private functions.

Great new playground for small kids. Cute lite lake, 2 well maintained tennis courts, full basketball court, beach volleyball. Look for scheduled events, as it will impact already limited parking

Small park with tennis courts, playground for the kids, covered picnic tables (you can sign up to hold for events), clean rest rooms, and a good sized man-made lake. Oh, and theres parking.

Nice serene park. Good picnic shelter & play area. Lake is a must see in the park. Ample parlking. Good volleyball court for some play. Good for a summer weekend picnic.
