I just recently joined this golf course. I was a little nervous how other members would except a new member into thier golf course. I was soon suprised after the first day how courteous and hospitable everyone is at the club house. Its a relaxing friendly atmosphere with activities always going on for every occasion. You soon feel like your part of a family down there. I have yet to have anything from the grill that I dont like. The food is all prepared by great experienced chefs and is very affordable. Under new ownership this golf course will start to turn into something special that the community and the neighborhood Has been thirsting for over for years now . It took years for this golf course to start to dwindle its gonna take time for it to recoup its not going to happen overnight . Also if I were you I would take advantage of the membership rates right now. You can be a part of tightnit golf community with staff instructors and members that treat you like family .

Course was in great shape and really enjoyed playing until our group had an unfortunate encounter with a couple of "Ranger Joes" The first Ranger Joe got on us for playing to slow (8mins) at the finish of hole #8 and the way this jack azz conducted himself really did inspire our group. What he didnt know nor would he give someone a chance to explain was that his grounds crew had left the flag out of the hole on #6 par 3 and we had to go find the flag before we could hit. That was about 3 to 4 mins. there. Avalons great starter wouldnt let us tee off till 7:30, NOT! 7:27. We had to wait till precisely 7:30? Couldnt even drive to the tee box. That was 2 to 3 mins. more so when you break it down the course (which we only played 9 holes because of Ranger Joe) was in good shape but, just beware of the "Ranger Joes".

Nice place, even though they are under clubhouse construction. A cart was brought to my car upon arrival, the staff (Steve, Amber and Jerry) was very friendly and helpful. The course was in good shape considering they had just lost 60+ trees due to the last storm. Fairways and greens were in good shape, very little if any spots or damage areas. They rolled true and soft. The bunkers were really the only issue, but the crews were working hard on them all day. I would recommend this course and would play again. A semi private course, but with a more country club feel. I would really like to see it when they are done with the renovation.

Avalon is working to become an elite yet comfortable and 5 star venue for golf, family meals, pool service, Sunday brunch and so much more. They are well on their way and the renovation is beautiful! New look, new kitchen and the staff is coming along well! Love to go to the club for fun!

Booked my Christmas Party at Avalon. We had 45 people and all my guests cant stop talking about how great it was. I was impressed with how nicely every dish was represented!! Food was delicious!!! Service was excellent!! Definitely book again!!! Thanks Avalon!!!

The fairways are nice, but the greens and bunkers were in very poor condition when we played. Great views for several holes, and the greens are challenging. That being said, the overall state of the course was terrible. Probably wont go back this season.

Hard course, fun to play, if you hit it in the sand go ahead and just take your ball out and drop it somewhere else unless you want a broken wedge... More rocks than sand

Great course, fairways, and greens. But fading or drawing may be a lost ball, or a window fee. This is a challenging course for new players in my opinion.
