I highly recommend this charming and quintessential New England house to any single or couple traveling in the area. It is equally in between Providence and Newport, so its easy to spend time in either or both of those locations. And Bristol itself has lots of charm and history, and things to see and do. The owner/hostess Kathleen is an accomplished chef and the breakfasts are delicious! So are the homemade cookies she leaves out in the evening! She is also the decorator and each room looks like its right off the pages of a decorating magazine! Every inch is spotlessly clean. As a female who traveled solo, I felt very comfortable and safe there.

A very peaceful place to stay, it felt like coming home each day. Always clean, and with many surprising thoughtful details added. The yard was a gorgeous oasis, breakfast delicious and plentiful. And my husband loved the complimentary toffee chocolate chip cookies.

We spent two nights at Bristol House. The breakfast was out of this world! There were also freshly baked cookies, coffee, tea, and soda available at any time of day (or night). The rooms were comfortable and very clean.
