According to news reports in June, the Portland parks bureau announced $1.5 million in development revenue has been designated for construction at this park. The design process is set to begin in 2015, with construction expected 2016. The new design will preserve the storm water basin, wildlife habitat and above-ground creek built by the environmental services bureau last year. Its possible climbing boulders or other parts of the parks natural playground, installed in November 2011, will be incorporated into the new playground.

Not sure why a request for more than an annual mowing turned into tearing off all of the sod. This is not what anyone wanted. Just appears to be someones ill conceived power project at taxpayers expense. Booo.

People use this as a dog park -on leash. Has a small natural area for kids to play with a sandbox. No restrooms.
