I give it 4 stars not because it is the greatest park by any means, but it represents a lot of hard work and dedication that is put forth by our city workers and volunteers to maintain parks like this one. I have been here many times and it is well kept and also used for events. I think it is awesome that even in the heart of Portland which can be a rough place at times to see that our parks still remain one of the greatest things not only here but in all of Portland.

Very nice City Park area and Green Space stretches for several blocks. Has some cool elephant sculptures with a playground and benches. To tell you the truth the problem is transients, ❌This is a warning to everybody especially parents, if you have your children in the playground check the area for used hypodermic needles.❌ I frequented this park almost everyday for lunch break and have seen the filth.

This places is very fun in the summer when there is a lot of activities going on, but also this is a great place to keep in mind for visitors when they need to find parking. If you are coming to Powells, just park here and walk up. It isnt that far away and chances are in your favor that there will be parking.

Often filled with the less fortunate these days, the north park blocks still host beautiful art shows and equally beautiful tree canopy. A good spot to smoke a joint in the quiet before heading east to the night life of old Town or to doze in the grass (just watch your wallet).

Not quite as picturesque as the South Bark Blocks but the North include some nice basketball courts and bocce/petonc courts which are supper fun. Unfortunately, the parks location means it is often a resting place for the homeless in the area but Ive never had a problem

The playground is nice, but sometimes it doesnt feel too safe depending on the time of day. It tends to be messy around the sidewalks, but overall its a nice area to walk through. Visit Pints Brewery nearby.

Its nice to have so much green in the heart of the city. A lot of homeless parked on the benches sometimes. The basket ball courts & bochi ball lanes are at the North end. Thats hreat!

A wonderful break of mother nature surrounded by a city of concrete and steel. A refreshing break of shade and great people can be found here durring the summer months.

The park can be a little dreary during the winter/fall months. However, the park is lively during the summer with many events taking place in and around the blocks.

Lots of homeless people here can make it so you cant enjoy the park some times. I was able to enjoy a fun BBQ with some Ingress players without issues though.

Went here for the Art of the Pearl. Cool park area that was taken over by tents featuring some seriously crazy art and a few food vendors.

I was immediately hassled by drunk homeless trash the minute I parked here. Watched one guy fall flat on his face, it was great.

Nice place to walk and sit when the weathers nice. Bring the dogs on a leash. Homeless may occupy the benches on occasions.

For sure more homeless people than you might want, but I love the bocce ball court and the basket ball court near Glisan.

The art installations are nice (my dog loved the dog bowl fountain) but the park seems overrun with homeless people.
