A beautiful, Sauvie Island, organic farm. We went after purchasing the Sounds & Tastes of the Farm Groupon. The package included two flights, two full-sized drinks, a ride on the grain train and live music. We opted for a flight of Bellas organic fruit wines and the beer/cider combo flight. We were cautioned that the wines were sweet, non-grape wines, but we still found the wines to be unpleasantly sweet...in a cough syrup sort of way. The beers and ciders were good, but all ones we could have gotten elsewhere. The live music was not really our style and we learned that the original band for that weekend had to cancel. The best part of the experience was the train ride around a portion of the 125-acre farm, including a couple informational stops. Id like to give Bella another try for berry picking and/or getting pumpkins. All in all, I think Bella is more of a destination for young families and Id recommend it to people with munchkins.

I visited Bella Organic a few weeks ago and witnessed a very sad thing. That I cannot get out of my mind. In the petting zoo area, there was an awful little boy terrorizing the animals. I mean kicking and hitting them, picking them up and dragging them around. Not a thing was done about this boy. I normally wouldnt blame the venue for this lack of adult supervision, but it turned out that the boy belonged to the people actually supervising the petting zoo. Myself and the other onlookers were all verbally upset about this asking where his parents were. I only learned who was responsible for him after the man handing out the food heard us and very passively said "Dont do that (boys name)" and turned away as it continued to happen. It makes me so upset that, not only were these animals being physically hurt, but that adults allowed it to happen by not stopping it.

My family has lived generations on Sauvie Island. We used to go out and pick berries ( no spray then) and not a mention of "organic". Its sad to see that "real food" has the label "organic" and the price they want for real food is I think extortion. I went to fred meyer and they had "certifide organic " strawberries for the same price as if I went out in the hot sun and broke my back picking them myself! Give some good old fashioned incentive to be frugal and hard working. Couldnt you lower the u-pick price by even a penny per pound since we are doing all the work of picking them ? The berries I got at fred meyer were very good. Guess thats where Im gonna get mine from now on. So long to the days you could get something good at a good price if you worked hard for it. TP

Went to the haunted corn maze, we had my little 11yr old brother with us who became too scared, started crying etc so we simply asked where the emergency exit was, but it was really just short cuts that made it maybe 10 mins shorter. By halfway through he was crying, & I understand that they warned it may be too scary for kids, BUT we tried to say to every actor that we had a scared child & were having a MEDICAL EMERGENCY & asked if they could not scare us, yet they ignored us & CONTINUED to scare, yell, & jump at us. My little brother was sobbing so hard, asking them himself to stop, and even at one point said he felt like he was going to vomit. BUT THEY CONTINUED. ONLY TWO of the actors throughout actually stopped & pointed us in the right direction. It was just messed up.

Worst farm excperience ever!! They are not family oriented in any way. All they care about is your money!! Not a true family experience, take your children elseware. worst organic farm in the country in my opinion! Because of what this organic farm stands for I would rather go to a non organic farm, because any non organic farm is definatly healthier than this organic farm in my opionion. I would not trust this farm worth anything, they are liers, cheaters and stealers! They try there best to screw every person they do bisness with in my oppinion stay away they are evil people! they are definatly a money hungry family!!! worst farm in the country, let alone not a real farm to begin with!

I cant comment on the farm itself, but the haunted maze is a senseless waste of time and money. Prior to entry we were warned that there was up to "6 inches of mud" on the trail, which was correct. They just forgot to mention that the mud was covered in a foot of water. Im not exaggerating here, you could honestly paddle a canoe through most of the maze. In so doing, you might be lucky to encounter 4 or 5 costumed actors to growl at you, and thats about it folks. Ridiculously under-staffed given the up to $20 ticket price. $50 wasted, no scares, and now I get to spend Saturday morning scrubbing my car mats.

This was a fun place to visit for berry picking. We picked blackberries for about an hour and were able to collect about 11 lbs without issue; whatever variety of blackberry bush they have here, at least in field number 1, was nice as it didnt have any thorns. Granted, its more expensive than free - we paid $3.50/lb - but this is organic fruit, the fruit is more plentiful and easier to pick, and I dont question what may have happened to it. My daughter really enjoyed riding in and picking fruit from the wagons they have there.

I wanted to like this place. I just went here to buy some strawberries already picked and brought them home to find all the unripe strawberries at the bottom of my flat. And the strawberries themselves just dont taste that great. Not what you would expect from local, organic and fresh picked. Very disappointing. They are also selling grocery store eggs as "local." The sign said they are from a farm in Albany but there is NO WAY these eggs are from farm raised chickens. I know a farm fresh egg when i see one. Buyer beware!!!

for the haunted maze Dont get a group on ticket. Its a ripe off. you either have to wait in a line for 1.5 hours or you can pay an extra $20.00 and get in the express line. OHHH the express line is the same cost if you dont have a groupon so by purchasing the group on ticket your actually paying more if you dont want to wait in a long line. If you want to do the corn maze just pay the full price to avoid getting ripped off.

Today we were going to go in the corn maze with our little cousins and she got scared and didnt want to do it so we went back. I didnt think to even ask to get our money back, but my boyfriend just decided to ask and the costumer sevice was amazing! Jenna at the ticket booth helped us immediately and was very understanding. Thank you Bella organic farms! Cant wait to come back next year :)

Alright, so the girls at tickets? AMAZING. Adorable and friendly. Keep up the good work, kids. The cats in the maze? AWESOME. Those witches though? I WISH I could laugh maniacally like them. I was very happy with this entire experience (aside from the cash only stuff). I hope you cats do this for many more years to come, and that portland keeps being portland.
