I had asked when "Gods not dead" was coming to Brookings. The gentleman working in the movie office told me it was not going to be showing, as "we have had two religious movies within the last 10 days." I asked if it were going to be showing at a later date. He said no. I am a bit amazed. The violent movies that are shown on a weekly basis, makes me think...OUR KIDS ARE WATCHING those types of movies???!! Really? We need morals placed in our childrens minds, not killings, shooting, blood and guts smothering the minds of kids. I would hope this would be re-considered, bringing in this movie, "Gods not dead". I have shared this situation with others, and many were surprised and disappointed. My rating was based on the decision regarding not having this movie come to Brookings.

First impression was that the interior smelled like it looked. Part of the ceiling seemed ready to come down from water damage (probably the source of the smell). The popcorn was good with real butter. The seats were comfortable enough, though when I arrived and sat down, I didnt expect the chair to flop back, causing me to nearly blast the girl that was standing behind me, into the next row. Overall, not bad. Ill go back.

Ive been coming to Brookings over 10 years and finally decided to go to the Redwood Theater this trip with my fiance and it was a treat. We watched the new Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tale and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere was fun and the popcorn was amazing. Plus everything was a lot cheaper than Cinemark. I label this as a GEM of Brookings in my book! We will definitely be coming back again!

The popcorn is the BOMB!!!! Best in the world!!! No other popcorn compares!!!! Really really really wish they would do movies at 5:00p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Most people cant get off work and make it to dinner and a movie. If you do a movie first, without dinner, then its too late when you get out... just sayin

Love this local theater! The selections try to reach a variety of locals--something for everyone (although you cant please "everyone" if you read the one negative review). I enjoy the double & reclining seats. The place is a clean and comfortable place to enjoy a good flick!

This is a family friendly theater and I have enjoyed seeing movies there every time I have gone. The smaller theater has a front row that seems too close to the screen to be enjoyable. I sat there once and was grateful the seat reclined a lot.

Just got back ffrom watching " After Earth". The popcorn is really good with real butter and the seats are comfy. I wish the movie theater where I live was as nice. I go to the movies every time I come the Brookings. Oh and it clean.

About what youd expect from a small town theatre. Nice staff, comfortable seats but only two or three movies are shown every two weeks. Check their website or call ahead to see if the movie you want to see will be showing.

I agree with Donna about would like to have seen Gods not dead 2. But I dont agree with "tiny" theater. This is our Brookings theater and we love the place and the owners and folks that run it are the absolute BEST!!

They need to play scary movies there. I dont get it they play movies like fifty shades darker but not scary movies? They really cant use the excuse that its a family theater with playing fifty shades darker.

Went to see Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon.... Great movie!! The back row of the theater are double seats( nice for couples), the sound was perfect for husband who is hard of hearing.

The seating is excellent. The Redwood shows both 2D and 3D movies. The theater shows most first-run films. The popcorn is served with (gasp!) real butter. AND the floor isnt sticky!

Nearest theater to those who live in Gold Beach. A bit expensive, but thats what theaters are all about. Comfy seating and they play most of if not all the new movies. Great spot!

Small theater, so it can get pretty crowded. Snacks are expensive as usual with most theaters but its usually pretty clean and a good experience if you go when it isnt really busy.
