We really enjoyed our meal at Twigs. My husband (a true steak aficionado) said his steak - one of the evenings specials - was the best hed ever had at a restaurant, and even the lightly sauteed spinach accompanying the steak was perfectly handled. My pork chops were delicious, as well - very tender and moist, and the tarragon mushroom cream sauce accompanying them was divine. Our servers wine recommendation for the pork was spot on - a nice pinot noir that paired excellently with the pork chops and the sauce. The salted caramel brownie was a bit disappointing - I mostly tasted "sweet" and didnt really get any of the buttery rich undertones I associate with excellent caramel, nor did I taste the expected hint of salt. My after-dinner coffee was a particularly pleasant surprise, however - the server brought a freshly prepared french-press pot of coffee to the table and I enjoyed every drop. We only had a couple of minor criticisms that kept us from upping the review to a full five stars: I ordered a Blackberry Sidecar and found it had very little flavor other than "alcohol." The bread served before the meal was forgettable - standard bland white table rolls - but we did appreciate that the butter was room temperature and whipped so it could be spread easily without tearing the roll. My salad (the standard house side salad) was overdressed and an adjacent table had the same issue, so I would recommend ordering your dressing on the side (something I typically do but forgot to ask for on this occasion). The house-made gorgonzola walnut dressing is delicious - a creamy blend of gorgonzola, walnuts, and balsamic - but overpowering if applied with too heavy a hand. Again, these are minor issues and would not keep us from highly recommending Twigs to friends and family. The food was excellent and the service was very good. It had been several years since wed last been to restaurant but we look forward to going back soon.

The restaurant was unpleasantly hot to be uncomfortable. Brought this to the staff attention and was told it was always hot and that the owner doesnt listen to staff to correct. Host and seating staff extremely rude to the point the Host was overheard saying to the seating staff " they dont have to eat here" They finally moved us after 20 mins to outside seating where the traffic going by was noisy and wind blowing around. Our individual waitress was terrific through out the whole ordeal. Manager on duty NEVER stopped by our table the whole time we were there.

our experience from the time we got there from the time we left was amazing. Great atmosphere the band at the bar set the tone. From there the wait staff was very good. The food was awesome. My date had the antelope and I had the generous filet. The parmesan peppercorn dressing on the salad was to die for. laid back atmosphere and we made friends with the table across from us and that was just a plus. a little pricey but the outback up the street didnt have nothing on this place for the same price. definitely great

We had a very disappointing experience. First the food came out cold and undercooked (I ordered lamb chops). When it was sent back to have it come back medium it was over-cooked. Things happen, okay, but what was really unacceptable was that a manager did not come out. When we asked our server we were told that the manager was not dressed properly, whatever that meant. Adding insult to injury when the bill came they tried charging us for the uneatable meal

We ate at Twigs over Labor Day, most places there was a wait line, this should have been our first hint. We ordered our dinner at the bar, the bartender, did not smile the whole time we were there, we had to ask him for a drink and a menu. The crabcakes tasted like crab out of a can, they were the worst. My husband got a steak, and it was so tough. Needless to say we left hungry and very disappointed. The service and food need a lot of help

My family and I had dinner at Twigs last week, and we all had a wonderful dinner and time. The food was great, the atmosphere was nice, they did have a new waitress being trained, so things went a little slow at first but got much better as the night went on. Last but not least my brother and law picked up the tap, so all around a great evening.

Twigs is my favorite restaurant in Blowing Rock! They have a cozy mountain atmosphere and great food! The bar is friendly, comfortable and a great place to hear live music on the weekends. Ive been visiting this area from Charleston for years and Twigs continues to be the experience I most look forward to! Hope it never changes.

Waitress tried very hard. After securing a later reservation, the meal took forever to be served. Ripped us off on our tab, i.e., alcohol vs. food. The staff did not really seem to care only when paid. Food was very pricey and boring. Dining atmosphere is casual at best for the money.

Our server was great; the owner came by to see how everything was but we wont be returning. The food: "meh" and definitely not worth the price. "wild caught" salmon? Doubtful and flavorless. Flank steak: cooked as ordered but also flavorless.

The food is a little pricey, but worth it. Also, you can sit in the bar area where some of the entrees, like filet mignon, are cheaper. It was a great place to hang out and eat and our waitress was very good.

I had the opportunity to dine at Twigs in the bar and really enjoyed the focus on Western NC beers and a tasty salmon sandwich to boot. If you are in the area you have to check it out.

DONT EAT HERE - NOT WORTH THE MONEY, AWFUL PLACE, DINGY, FOOD WAS TASTELESS AND WAS NOT FRESH, NEED TO BE MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY WHEN YOU RELY ON REVIEWS FROM THE PUBLIC

Usually have a decent band. Bartenders can be snooty if you are not a college buddy or a local regular. Food too pricey for what you get.

Not worth the price, and certainly not worth the drive to Blowing Rock from Lenoir.
