Stopped here while on a wine tour with a friend and I think they may be my second or third favorite winery. I loved there tatsing set up although everything was offered for a fee. I came on a bus trip so we were offered free tastings while everyone else had to pay a fee. You are also able to pay for crackers, cheese or sliced meats to accompany your tasting experience. The white winter and the isabella red wines were my favorites. The staff were friendly and helpful in offering wine options. Afterwards we went out on the sun deck which was huge and relaxing. They also had sunflowers for sale at a $1.00 each but you go out and cut them yourself. A few people had kids that were very whiny and cried alot-probably not a good idea to bring kids to a winery ijs.

Despite the crazy weather on our way to Pindar on Saturday Aug 20th, it definitely was a refreshing experience! We purchased tickets for the tour and I have to say it was very interesting to see the process and the smells of the wines in the barrels was amazing! After the tour we went to the tasting room to have a tasting of 5 wines of our choice which was included with the tour...for only $20! Loved the Riesling and Moscato. And my favorite red was the Cabernet Port...and bought a bottle to take home! Cant wait to have it! Def recommend visiting Pindar and will go back again! Love the rustic feel and friendly servers!

DO NOT buy wine from the vineyard. I went there for a tasting and enjoyed the wine, so i purchased two bottles. After I came home, I went to the liquor store to price check out of curiosity and found that the same bottle at the liquor store was 10$ cheaper. I called the sales department about my dispute and they told me off and were extremely rude about it. So the bottom line is i spent 54 dollars on two bottles of wine that would have been 32 at the liquor store. you would think it would be or at the very least the same price at the source.

Nice tasting room, but I was really not impressed by the white wines - I tried several that were either light to the point of lacking any discernible flavor, or just undrinkable. On the other hand, a couple of the reds were decent, and the Riesling wasnt bad if you like it sweet. I purchased a couple of "Pythagoras" reds, which drank well for the price. People seemed to be having a good time - its a lively atmosphere.

They definitely need more staff that are willing to educate you about the wines you are selecting. We got two ladies and looked like they hated their job. I was trying to open a packet of cheese and accidentally knocked over a glass of wine and the lady looked annoyed and I apologized and she rolled her eyes and ignored me. I hadnt even had one drink. I thought that was rude.

My parents are members of this winery, so I have tried pretty much every type of wine they have. My husband and I really do not like any of them. The wines are all very bitter and almost taste corked, but they all taste like that. When I head out to the wineries on our yearly trip, we always skip this one, and recommend you do too.

Pindar has always been a stop on our wine tours. The tasting room is HUGE and staffed with several bartenders who are friendly and knowledgeable. You can taste numerous wines for a decent fee, and not be intimidated because theyre so friendly. I love the white blush and their riesling! Super clean and a must-stop for any wine tour!

First time here today. Friends recommended to us. It was awesome. Amazing selection of wines for a flight at a reasonable price. It was so good we bought a few bottles. Deck area is beautiful. Brought our own cheese and crackers, opened a bottle and enjoyed the sun. Definitely recommend.

Great place for a midday visit. At $10 tastings (for 5 tastings) and very reasonably priced bottles, they have great wines (some of the best in the Northeast) and they have wonderful service aswell. We visited and purchased a few bottles after the tasting. Highly recommend.

Hands down, my favorite winery on the north fork. Tasting room was well appointed and set up to handle a good volume of people for tastings. . . Taste a premium wine for $3 and get the discount when you buy the bottle. Pythagoras, Mythology and Cuvee Brut are my favorites.

Very enjoyable, Pindar is my favorite winery and the Winter White is my favorite wine. Pindar is one of the flagship vineyards of the LIRR Wine Country Tours and I pray they continue to include this stop for future years flights. The best One Day Getaway.

Went to the vineyard with a group of 8; we were met at the bar by Matt H. Extremely personable, energetic, beyond knowledgeable about the wines he was pouring & their origins. He truly made our visit one of a kind ! We will be back !

Lively and loud. Great for groups. Outside food permitted, which is awesome. Huge outside decks to mingle and perch. Umbrella tables are a nice touch. The best deal in a tasting menu on the North fork. Adore the winter white.

Fair. Wines are cheap but not very good; very mass marketed. Atmosphere is sort of old, though live music (a guitarist with a laptop) was a plus.
