This place has all the amenities of a great modern day multiplex including advanced purchase ticket kiosks in the lobby so you never have to wait in line for your tickets. They also show 3D, IMAX etc so theres something for everyone here! Its also one of the most expensive regular priced tickets in Manhattan so keep that in mind. Its spread across multiple floors so acquaint yourself with where your specific theater is or youll be going all over the place trying to figure it out. This place is massive so you can get turned around easily. Once you find your spot though youll be pleasantly satisfied. The entire place is really clean and the seats are plush and comfortable, even for the long movies. There are huge concession stands in each of the big multiplex lobbies so you can get in and out and onto your movie quickly. The bathrooms are also conveniently located should you have an issue with too much beverage consumption...Silence your cell phones and leave the babies at home! Enjoy your movie, I did.

I just want to say that I got robbed at this place and the cinema didnt make themselves responsible for it at ALL. I went to see Star Wars Rogue 1 on the second floor, and there is a tiny gap between the last row and the wall. Someone (mustve been someone really small) crawled behind my seat, opened my bag, took my phone + wallet and disappeared. They used my phone to order ubers and stuff on Amazon, so Ive given all that information to the police dept. For me the interesting part is that the movie theater literally did NOTHING, and as my husband was going back and forth inside and outside the movie theater to check with people if they have seen my phone or something, no-one checked for his ticket. THAT MEANS this movie theater is allowing people in and out with no control whatsoever. Its given me such a headache all the information I lost. I really hope they at least cooperate with the NYPD since they informed me that theyre tracking down other similar incidents at this place.

Its Lincoln Square, so you wouldnt exactly be expecting it to be "cheap", but be prepared for sticker shock here as I can all but guarantee that these will be among the highest ticket and concession prices youll find. The system AMC Loews uses to book seats isnt representative of the actual theater as well, which may be a small thing but when a group of friends and I decided to watch a movie here with a disabled friend the discrepancy made for a pretty bad experience. We were left with the choice of either sitting apart from our friend since wheelchair seating was across the aisle, sitting in objectively bad seats, or essentially "stealing" someone elses seat in a different area. That being said, the IMAX screens are some of the biggest around, the classic Hollywood decor is really cool, the auditoriums are big, and they cater to the midnight release crowd as well as any other theater in New York, so all in all a mixed bag.

The only real IMAX screen worth the price of admission -- a true large screen experience. Apart from the IMAX theatre itself, everything else is typical AMC faire. Eat before you go, or at least bring something. There is no reason to pay $10 for $2 worth of popcorn and soda. Expect long lines for anything that is a new release, but again chalk that up to NYC. The theatre is pretty spacious considering all things and I really like that the decor screams "Youre in a movie theatre". Honestly if you are going to pay top dollar for a ticket, you want the whole shebang so this helps you feel like its a night out at the movies. Getting to and from the theatre is pretty easy -- subway, taxis, and buses are at your disposal. So go ahead, spend a night out at the theatre and watch a movie on a screen the size of a small building!

The new reserved seating policy is terrible. There is simply no reason for it. I went to one movie, was assigned to a specific seat, but the theater was practically empty, so I and everyone else just sat where we wanted to. Another time I arrived separately from my husband, was forced to choose a specific seat, and when he arrived the seats next to me had been taken. So I just got up and we found two seats together, neither of which were assigned to us. Just let people arrive and go and pick the seats they want that are available themselves, without having to choose an assigned seat at the ticket counter. Assigned seating just makes going to the movie more of a hassle. there is not benefit to it, and it makes me want to not go to this theater anymore.

The best place in the city to watch an imax and 3D movie. They have the biggest screen, and the 3D experience is unbelievable! Once you put on your 3D glasses you see nothing but the movie and the 3D characters in it. You cant see other people in the corners of your eyes, just the movie. Its and amazing feeling. When I watched Batman in IMAX (no 3D) the feeling was the same as from watching 3D, thats how big the screen is. I always get dizzy entering the IMAX auditorium, its enormous. And the last couple of times they sold tickets with the seat numbers, so when you buy your ticket you dont have to come 2 hours before the movie to get into the line for the best seats, as you already get an assigned seat. Overall a perfect place.

This is my favorite theater in NYC to watch blockbusters. At ~$21 a ticket it isnt the most affordable option, but there are some things that make this theater really worth the sticker price. Firstly, the reserved seating and online booking really help guarantee you’ll be sitting with your party when you get to the theater. If you are really lucky, you may even get the coveted middle, center seats that are the best seats in the house. Second, the theater is huge which allows for a really big screen. Watching movies on this screen really spoils you! Lastly, it is part of the AMC stubs program which eliminates online booking fees. Great choice for all movie goers, the only downside is this theater often sells out!

I visited here for the first time to see Star Trek: Into Darkness - Non 3D. I got there for the 1:45 pm showing so there wasnt a crowd at all. Dont get the Chicken Fingers. They are awful. I usually smuggle something in... I know, I know, its wrong. But when they serve you something as bad as those damn Chicken Fingers, you have to fend for yourself. This theater is not old by any means but for some reason most of the seats squeak. Loudly. WD40 maybe? I could have given a lower review but something wonderful happened when I left. One of the clean up crew said "Thanks for coming!" Wow. I was not expecting that. Made me feel all warm inside. Thank you, young lady. Thank you.

Love, love , love this movie theater. The restrooms are beautiful and clean. They are huge and rearly ever a line even after the movie ends. I love the theme of this theater and the art work on the walls. My suggestion is not to drive. The parking lots are over priced. Everytime I have choose to drive its been very difficult to find parking on the street. However, public transportation is near by on the 1 train or A,C train to 59th. The area has so many retailers, fast food and restaurants to enjoy before or after your showtime. Central park is also a short walk off. This area in general is great for dates or just a day out.
