I saw Ollabelle last Friday and was so dissappointed.Food was excellent. I have been there four times for music since youve opened. Simple acoustic acts are great... anything amplified is a total waste of time. Probably wont go back for anything but acoustic sets.. Its a beautiful space, but the sound engineer seems to think he has to amp it for the Meadowlands. Most seating is within forty feet of the stage. The ears start ringing immediately. Cant hear vocals, mixing is sloppy, keyboards murder everything else. Mandolin cant be hard at all. Its a great space, with great acts totally destroyed by a mindless mixer so that the sound becomes unlistenable, turgid and mixed to a dull muddy brown.One of the great things about a space like Helsinki is that a conscious mixer can make adjustments during the show. Frequently, I saw artists trying to signal the mixer during an act in a failed effort to have him fix obvious problems... but hes consistently asleep at the wheel.. or doesnt know ( or care) how to steer. This is fixable... I know Im not the only one experiencing this.. Each time I left a show, others on the way out could be heard saying essentially the same thing. Want to be supportive but....oh well.

What a wonderful experience. Best place to listen to great music. Every seat has great sight lines. Saw Ian Hunter here on a Friday night. Crowd was older, 60s and 70;s. We had a great time. They know how to please us, sound was pristine, transparent and clear. Not too loud, but the bass drums has amazing depth and you could feel em!!! Better than anywhere in Manhattan to listen to great musicians. Worth a trip. The chef is a specialist in North Carolina folk food. BBQ with not only NC sauce, but 4 other southern varieties, including Alabama White, which Id never tasted but fell in love with. I tried the sampler platter, which has brisket, ribs and a sausage. The sausage is extraordinary, dont miss it.

If theres a Merit Badge for outstanding customer service in the Hudson Valley restaurant business, the folks at Helsinki deserve it. After having received my tepid review several weeks ago, they reached out - more than once - and invited me back to give them another try. Im so glad I did: the food, drinks, ambience, service, and the overarching generous hospitality combined for a memorable and fine dining experience. The shrimp and scallops from the Fish Camp menu are not to be missed: just outstanding in every way, large and nicely textured, sweet on the inside, finely spiced on the outside, and perfectly cooked. The yellow beets were a home run. Turnips were yummy. Thank you, Helsinki.

Overpriced food that was legitimately good, but really nothing special at all. They had some great inventive mixed drinks (The Spicy Paloma was actually astounding) that again were tasty, but way overpriced. The venue was intimate, there is enough room for maybe 50 people in a tiered style seating arrangement. The acoustics were poor, so dont expect auditory nirvana in this venue. I would definitely return, but will go to a different place for food beforehand, and only order the Spicy Palomas like they were going out of style.

Do not book any parties there ! can you imagine running out of food for you guest ? we where at a reception there last Saturday .they have staff making sure you do not fix your plate at the buffet . the last table did have enough food to make a meal . they staff collected the plates and silverware from all the tables as the last table was getting their food. I will say the cake was great perhaps there motto should be let them eat cake

Its been over a year since Helsinki opened and it just keeps getting better. The shows in the club are fantastic and the food in the restaurant is superb. Chef Hugh Horner mixes Southern cooking with a farm to table esthetic. The service is impeccable. I eat there 2-4 times a week. Because it is just damn good.

Went for dinner and a show, and had a great time! Great food and drinks, great atmosphere. Tip: if youre going to see something in the club, call to buy tickets and reserve a table at the same time, avoiding a service charge and increasing the likelihood youll be seated where you can easily see the stage.

We love working at this venue. Austin is always a pleasure to work with on weddings. Very flexible, easy going and attentive to couples. You can personalize your wedding in so many ways. If you are looking for a unique space with lots of options for making your day special we highly recommend this venue.

The drinks for so strong, man i love it. They have live music although i did not go there for that. The food was to damn good. The steak was so well cooked that i wanted to get another one. Next time i go i have to see the live music, it was one of the reason i wanted to go in the first place.

Went there for open mic night and found various performances to be very enjoyable Fried chicken with mash potatoes and ahi sesame tuna a delightful experience for the senses. Our server/bartender John was so friendly and courteous. Definitely will return to this club in the future.

Great music on the Club side and delicious food on the Restaurant side. I also attended a birthday party in the Event Space upstairs; super chill with great service. Wonderful atmosphere all around. A must have experience if you are ever exploring Hudson.

Fantastic Texas themed restaurant. The menu is Texan influenced but has many healthier attributes too. Cocktails are great and next door they have fantastic live shows.
