This place is amazing!! I went just to go hiking the other day, it had beautiful views of the lake and mountain house. There are different trails you can take up the mountain depending on the difficulty level you would like. My only complaint is that they used to have a shuttle from the parking lot to the mountain house which they recently removed. Now you have to walk a mile and a half to the mountain house which is tiring at the end of the day after a hike to get back to your car. Also dont forget to bring cash its $26 a person and $21 for kids. I wish it wasnt as pricey. You get everything inclusive if you stay at the mountain house thats around $500 to $700 a night.

One of the most wonderful places on the east coast. Most widely known for world class rock climbing on its cliffs. It is a pay to use private property (non profit) that connects together with the Mohonk Mountain House and Minniwaska State Park. You can explore some of the best views of beautiful cliffs on 50 miles of maintained carriage roads, an endless supply of technical hiking including the famous Labyrinth and Lemon Squeezer trail at the Mountain House. Spot some Peregrine Falcons nesting on the cliffs and dive bombing intruding birds. Stop at the visitors center for a map and information.

Beautiful grounds! Excellent trail network through crags and forests with intermittent views of both the Catskills and the Shawangunk Ridge. Mixed patches of blueberries and huckleberry. Also one of the few small streams that support native brook trout runs through a portion of the property. Note* the brook trout are slow growing and vulnerable in this special creek so please practice catch and release angling

What a treasure of a place. The day pass is expensive, so get an annual pass and come back again and again! A wonderful variety of landscapes over a large preserve (try Duck Pond, Pin Oak Allee, Split Rock or Lost City for fairly accessible and stunning outings), with opportunities to hike and climb and bike to beautiful views. You also gain access to Mohonk Mountain House trails by hiking in.

Spectacular Sylvan woodland with inspirational geology, fuel for the fusion in any poets heart... But sadly the contemptible administrators of this Parkland restrict access annihilating regular access for the working class "deplorables" and many more of the communitys starving artist population pricing park access beyond what working class people and most poets can afford.

Spent many a wonderful days there, having the Sunday brunches and great dinners with my aunt and uncle who would spend a month to 6 weeks a year at the hotel. Love the hiking the gardens and the great porch over looking that fabulous lake. Isnt that what it is all about. The area is a natural wonder one must see.

If you like to hike this is the place to go. Cost is about 20/head for a day pass to hike anywhere on the preserve except the mountain house. There are packages available for access to the mountain house for food and room. The view from the summit tower is fantastic and there is rock climbing for the daring.

New York States largest non-profit Nature Preserve offers hiking, climbing, biking. Varied topography and ecology offers something for everyone. Visit the Preserve Visitors Center for advice and maps. A visitors fee is charges to enter lands. (Preserve is member and visitor funded - this is not public land)

Many folks come here unaware of the $12-17 per head entry fees to walk/bike through a forest and then pay up because they already made the effort to get there. Visit one of the nearby state parks instead, which are just as nice and free (well, paid for by taxes...).

Absolutely beautiful scenery and I love going out there. The walking and hiking trails are amazing! The people at the Gatehouse are rude and very stuck up so get ready to deal with that but once youve paid (because you have to pay $21/person to hike) its great!

Great Experience. If you are doing the hikes you will need to park at the entry gate which is usually 26 dollars on weekends and 21 dollars on weekdays. Parking lot fills up quick during weekends and Holidays. Make sure to do the labyrinth and lemon squeeze!

Breathtaking nature preserve with endless miles of hiking trails for all. I have been hiking here my whole life and always seem to find something new that I have never seen before! In the winter they groom many of the carriage roads for cross country skiing.

Incredible scenery. One of the most enjoyable and difficult hikes in the Carskills. There are plenty of different trails ranging from easy to only for the brave and the foolish. Be warned there is a price of about $20 to hike here, but definitely worth it.

Beautiful over 81 miles of hiking, and picturesque. Hotel in certain places smells of mildew but its an old beautiful expensive but worth it pace to stay and day guests pay only $22 per person to explore nature at its best.

Great place to hike and awesome place to rock climb. I would definitely get a year long member ship. Its 90 and if you get a second one at the same time its 70. Basically if you go more then 4 times it pays for it self.

Bonticou and Lemon Squeeze are okay - gorgeous and fun, but crowded as hell in season. Its a very large preserve with a ton of other spots just as good if not better. Explore!! Its an absolute treasure.

Hunters are treated as though they should have to have heart attacks entering and exiting from lenope lane. Also, Rangers will make physical contact with your vehicle to avoid evidence being preserved

The preserve was nice, but the prices are downright outrageous. The trails are not blazed or marked with any consistency and when they were marked it was very confusing which trail went where.

Excellently maintained trails and carraige roads with a variety of elevation and difficulty. Great nordic skiing in the winter (some of the best in the NE), and amazing views all year

AMAZING views. The rock scramble was so fun to do. Not too challenging but challenging enough to feel like it was a good work out. The view at the top is the best reward.

The price is steep for hiking/biking or climbing for a day pass. However the park itself is beautiful and has facilities you need for outdoor activities

Incredible scenery and an insane stretch of hiking, running, and cycling trails. Trail maps are available at the entrance of mohonk mountain house.
