A great experience for all that attend this wine-making school. You decide the level of participation. One of the best entry points is as a 1 case member of a team producing a barrel of a wine that you prefer. And you should have no fear of not having enough time. If your are really constrained your total hours or involvement from start to finish could be as little as 5 hours. That is not much over an average of 9 months. And once you meet the people you will so much look forward to attending each phase. Bring some snacks and make a mini party. John, Di, and John Jr are aces to deal with and Jr has your back (and front) through every step. I have been using MWWU for 6 years and it is always exciting to show up with your bottle at a dinner with friends and announce, "I made this".
There barrel tastings are definitely an experience. I had never been to a barrel tastings before so the set up was relatively new to me. They give you a baster and essentially let you loose on there wine barrels, giving you the freedom to try any barrelled wine they have. They dont really have a wine list and all of their wines are try. They dont grow their own grapes, instead they are imported from California and Chile which isnt a big deal because a lot of wineries do this but there wines lacked flavor and charisma.
Our 5th year making wine with Make Wine With Us. A great experience and very nice people. The superb service, depth of knowledge and diversity of products available is the perfect formula for a very positive product. 5 years and absolutely no disappointments. And the wine keeps getting better every year. What started as a recreational activity is becoming an obsession. Thanks to all for a wonderful experience!

Weve been making our wine at MWWU for several years now and its a great tradition. Its a great way to get family and friends together and spend a pleasant afternoon, especially when youre bottling the wine. Bring some cheese, crackers and Italian specialties and youre good to go! John, Diann and John Jr are a pleasure to work with, in addition to their staff.
Make Wine With Us is a first class operation with a Family Approach. The Wine is excellant and only out-performed by your hosts, John, Diane & John. They take the time to teach wine and ensure your "wine progress" is what you expected. Visit, and you will immediately be part of the Family - Cheers, RD

It was a wonderful experience learning how to make wine with "Make Wine With Us". They are very knowledgeable about wine questions. The class is fun and you get to taste fresh squeezed grape juice that will be used to make wine. It is really sweet ! Thank you for hosting such a fantastic class !
Always a great time. More importantly great wine. John and his family make it an enjoyable experience. Personally made wine with them for 5 years. I have even scored 3rd in a very exclusive wine tasting in Morristown. That was a big deal.. I recommend this to everyone. Frank D
Great bunch of people that want to show people how to love wine and making it. Coming from a home brew guy for beer, this place really impressed me with their enjoyment of making wine and their one on one personal instruction on anything youre curious on was great.
We made wine for our wedding and John and Diane were so accommodating to work with and made the whole experience great! Everyone that has had our wine has loved it, even those, including myself who dont like Chianti LOVE IT!

Went to a wine tasting here. Our whole group had a great time. We are getting together a group to make wine, hopefully soon. Great selection of olive oils and balsamic is a delicious plus.
Great family atmosphere, everyone is very welcoming and the wine email is great. You got to come if you like wine and want to learn about the process.
