A great experience for all that attend this wine-making school. You decide the level of participation. One of the best entry points is as a 1 case member of a team producing a barrel of a wine that you prefer. And you should have no fear of not having enough time. If your are really constrained your total hours or involvement from start to finish could be as little as 5 hours. That is not much over an average of 9 months. And once you meet the people you will so much look forward to attending each phase. Bring some snacks and make a mini party. John, Di, and John Jr are aces to deal with and Jr has your back (and front) through every step. I have been using MWWU for 6 years and it is always exciting to show up with your bottle at a dinner with friends and announce, "I made this".

There barrel tastings are definitely an experience. I had never been to a barrel tastings before so the set up was relatively new to me. They give you a baster and essentially let you loose on there wine barrels, giving you the freedom to try any barrelled wine they have. They dont really have a wine list and all of their wines are try. They dont grow their own grapes, instead they are imported from California and Chile which isnt a big deal because a lot of wineries do this but there wines lacked flavor and charisma.

It was a wonderful experience learning how to make wine with "Make Wine With Us". They are very knowledgeable about wine questions. The class is fun and you get to taste fresh squeezed grape juice that will be used to make wine. It is really sweet ! Thank you for hosting such a fantastic class !
