This place has more cons than pros. Pros: spacious Beautiful view Equipped with tables and grills Cons: be prepared because the police and life guards will literally complain about everything If you have boats or jet skis you cant tie them up and leave them at the dock. For you to get off you have to load it on the trailer and park the car (which is obviously tedious) If youre on jet skis you cant do more than 30mph without the police saying you are disrupting the area For you to get a spot u have to be here by at least 6 am and God forbid you try to reason with the police to let you at least come in and park your car elsewhere they will answer you very rudely. Long story short everything is very restricted to the point where one cannot even enjoy. This was our first and last time coming here. It is not, I repeat NOT, worth coming here. ESPECIALLY if you have jet skis.

Absolute harassment by the state park police. I visit the park every morning at 6 am, with not a soul in sight, i have a puppy, I let him off the leash and he runs around and enjoys life. This goes on for half an hr and then I leave. Oh by the way I live down the street same town. This morning I had a cop approach me and tell me, "Ive been watching you every morning you think you can do whatever you want, put that dog on a leash.." its 6 in the morning and there is never anyone, I even bring bags to pick up his poop. Oh by the way there are no signs asking me to put a dog on the leash... When Im not breaking any laws, not bothering anyone and still am asked to stop being the cops miserable and cant see a owner and his dog playing.. thats harassment. Get a life, seriously

Worst experience in my life rude staff no morals and dont have customer service skills, they should really consider taking class on how to talk to customers paying money to enjoy there time here. Super racist, to the point where I cant even begin to describe the experience I had. Especially the supervisor hangs up in peoples faces. They talk about following protacal and rule but arent even able to describe what those rules are if you ask which I did . Since she had no answer she hung up on me l Would never ever come back here again and absolutly not letting this go if I have to take them to court. Expected a pregnent lady in her ninth month to walk to her office instead of taking initiative!!!

Its not a bad place to visit. Just dont bring your dog. We thought the whole family could have fun and swim... nope! We have a small dog and hes not allowed even though we were told it was fine. The most annoying part of the entire day goes to the lifeguards. They definitely get a medal. Every 5 mins they are on the horn for the most dumbest thing. They just didnt stop and I didnt know they have a million rules and regulations here. You cant do this, you cant do that. I had another swimmer go by me and said "when the hell do they leave?" So yea its nice to look at, eat and stuff but thats it. Theres no freedom to enjoy yourself. Ill pass and go somewhere else next time.

Great area to bring the family and kids. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of tables and grills. Water is about 5 feet at the deepest end of the designated swimming area. Bags provided to carry out your garbage from whats brought in. Showers and changing rooms available as well. Basketball court also available (one full court and two half courts) and two volleyball courts. Two childrens playgrounds (one by the swimming area and another by the picnic area). Recommended for a nice day with the family or friends.

The park is great, Its very tranquil. Went with my family and we had a blast. They dont allow alcohol in the premises, but we had some beer cans (not bottles) and they didnt say anything. All benches have a grill next to them so be sure to bring charcoal and lighters. If for some reason you forget to a buy something, there is a supermarket about 3 minutes away. The lake was clean, not deep at all (4ft.) They have 2 sand volleyball courts, dont worry about bringing your own volleyball, you can rent one for $5.

i come this park long times ago,the park is great for the family and BBQ, but around 2 years ago to now the boat launch ramp is horrible, it does not have any control with the jet ski,the drivers dont have any idea how use the jet ski, they make waves close to the ramp,make race between the floaters and the shore and they think they own the bay not buddy respect nothing,for my concern the cops need more control in the ramp or the state park need one more launch ramp for the boaters!!!

This lake is beautiful. Very quiet and the price is only for parking. You enjoy your stay here if youre early and 10$ is great considering how well the park is maintained. Not everything is free in this world. I love the atmosphere and landscape. Im actually planning my return very soon. My favorite part is the staff in the stand, they are very sweet and quick with orders. I brought my 5 year old and I was able to rent a life jacket... Since I forgot mine. They are very nice.

Excelente lugar para relajarse y pasar un rato agradable el area de picnic muy limpia al igual que el lago muy recomendable para toda la familia llegar temprano es lo más recomendable para no pasar una mala experiencia y quedarse afuera

This park was quite disappointing. After Labour Day there is no swimming permitted. This is actually enforced by the State police even when you are caught wading or fishing. Unfortunately there is little other public access to the foreshore. Another disappointment was the complete lack of kayak rentals. We are hoping the Shore is friendlier. Stay away from this place for sure!

Beautiful park clean nice people the lake was clean life guards on site bathroom a little clean just didnt like that you have to take your garbage with you its a $ 200 fine and closed to early and police officer on site too and they act like beasts they would lock you up for not coming out of the water 6:00 lake closed not 6:01 they really dont play

The lake and the beach are nice but its impossible to get in on a weekend or holiday unless you line up early. I live a couple of miles away and love going in for a quick swim but wont even try on the weekend. They should find a way to keep the beach open past Labor Day--the water is very warm and its the best time of year to swim.

The worst I had stepped out for a few to go get something at home then when I arrive back they denied my access to the park due to it being full Remind you my family inside and my stuff and the officers are some racist ass pricks I will never step a foot in this place. EVER !
