All I can say is that the criticisms of The Record Collector that Ive read on here are greatly exaggerated. It is a great little shop and one of the last of a dying breed. In my experience, the owners are extremely nice and honest. We have to keep in mind that all "brick-and-mortar" stores have a "nut" to cover. If they purchased a used CD from someone for $6 then theyd have to sell it for at least $12. Even at this price it would hardly cover their costs. I have been to this store many times and I can tell you that they dont sell a very large volume. I see what they do as a service to the community of music lovers. Stop in sometime and talk to Bill. He really knows his stuff and will be glad to help you anyway he can. Also this place converts to a quaint little music venue on some nights. See their "Living Room Concert Series" on-line at their website.

Very nice inventory of vintage vinyl LPs. If you are looking for quality (the operative word is "quality") vintage vinyl, then this is the place. John and his wife are super friendly and very knowledgeable. I live in Chicago but travel weekly to NY and NJ. I like to seek out vinyl stores and support local businesses when travelling on business. This store is no exception,as I could have spent DAYS looking at vintage vinyl in this store. I was very happy with my purchase and when I got home and played the album, it was crystal clear and in NrMint condition. I will be back to visit soon!

I have just come from the Record Collector in Bordentown and all I can say it that it is a great experience!!! From the Art Deco atmosphere, to the large inventory and very helpful, friendly staff, it was a pleasure shopping there. These guys are fun! The Record Collecctor has brought great excitment to the area with the live performances of really cool acts!! I just bought tickets for Robert Gordon and Pete Best. These performances are every weekend, and really cheap!! What a great way to spend a weekend night. Thank you, Record Collector, for getting my husband out of the house!

Cute little place in a cute little town. A small used section, at around $5-$6 range, not much worthwhile. They had an additional $1 tables, but all the discs were in the plastic frame holders jammed into multiple milk crates. Sadly, I did not have the time to dig through them. They have a good selection of new CDs – some of the bands and titles surprised me. Their vinyl selection was of a good size as well. Though I was only there about 15 minutes and did not pick up with anything, my visit was a pleasure to this good neighborhood music store.

In my opinion- records were way overpriced compared to other places. no bargain racks (maybe one crate on the floor) and practically nothing is priced below $10, even mediocre records. The Morrisville, PA store had a much wider vinyl selection as well as more 12" singles, which the new store does not have. Records are stuffed in shelves and hard to browse. Id also encourage you to carefully examine the record conditions as they are not as strict and careful grading them as say Princeton Record Exchange. Out of town, better to shop online.

John and Sue, The Record Collector owners, are just about the nicest people you could ever meet. If you love sifting through thousands of records, losing yourself in the world of vinyl then this is your place. The store also presents live music pretty regularly which is totally worth checking out. Cant shop there without a good long conversation with John about music history or politics or whatever. Bordentown is lucky to have this place operating for such a long run.

I introduced my daughter to record browsing here, so Im in no way objective. For me, browsing through records here feels like a spiritual journey. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Diversity of music genres is fare. Ive been to places with more types of music, but couldnt bear the crowds or the clutter. They also have live performances from time to time. You would be surprised as to what artists have graced their stage. A hidden gem.

BUYER BEWARE! This seller is not only unresponsive to simple inquiries once you pay for your order but is also extremely slow to ship. Once my order arrived 2 out of the 5 records I ordered were visually & audibly damaged contrary to the description the seller stated them to be in. REVIEWER BEWARE! Though seller sees no reason to respond to questions pertaining to an order they are quite quick to send out a shitty response to your review.

Not a bad store. Kinda over-priced, however it seems like many store are. lol He did have a few 3 for 5 bin. I could only find 2 records that I would consider. They were in poor shape but what was i to expect. I found 2 other records and he gave me a decent deal so i was happy(kinda). LOL. Nice guy nice store and willing to negotiate.

Predatory buyers pay way too little for great music collections. Watched a couple get ripped off their vintage rock collection. he gave them 150 for them and then i heard him call an associate and gloat about how he had just made out. Needless to say after i witnessed this firsthand i went to sell my vinyl elsewhere.

The Record Collector is a GREAT PLACE! He even had some old reel to reels he sold me in a crate (must have been sitting there for a while) but also found rare copies of records I had been looking for forever. Great place - Please stop and check out their collection. Tell them "Blanda" sent you!

I love The Record Collector. There is a wide selection of vinyl which is unusual to find these days. They also have amazing shows on the weekends. If you love rock and roll, you will definitely love this store. I know I do!!!

The store had a pretty good selection of classic rock, metal, blues/soul/jazz, and modern rock records. Friendly staff and decent prices. Only complaint would be that the store seems to be a bit disorganized.
