This is the first time I have ever written a review for a place online but I feel I have no choice but to. As a person who works in the food industry and have my entire life I understand customer service and what is right and wrong. Do not go to the Watermark as they have no clue what customer service is. The employees are good people but the owner is truly crazy. After a night of dinner at Cubacan and then a few hours hanging out in the lounge area inside of the Watermark my friends and family had spent well over $3,000. Although, that should be irrelevant I want to be clear we are people who understand going out and are not crazy. As we were getting ready to leave I put my feet on the couch and was instantly asked by the waiter not to and listened. He then said not to again because the owner would go crazy. I said no problem and apologized. As that happened, the owner began cursing me out over and over without regard for anyone or anything. He then raised a glass as if he was going to throw it at me. We were leaving and had no problem leaving and will be sure never to go back! I want to be sure everyone is aware of the type of owner at this establishment. I thought I had found a nice classy place to go out with family and friends. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The owner is a classless, out of control person who must be very insecure with himself as he tried to make a fool of good customers. Please let me know if there is anywhere that you can have a classy night of fun by the Jersey Shore!?

My go-to for a classy bar / lounge in the area. Ive come here many times now and will continue to go. Never had a bad experience. The inside is nice, with comfortable chairs and a fireplace. There are also a few balconies, the main one with an outdoor bar and views both east (right on the ocean) and west. Design is beautiful all around. The drinks menu is well thought out and quite unique in their selection of cocktails. I recommend trying the Rosemary Collins (a gin cocktail... I love gin). They also have a decent selection of beers, and prices are about what youd expect. Bartenders have always been very friendly and quick with the service. Great date spot to hit up before (or after) dinner as well.

What a wonderful evening! We had our wedding celebration at the Watermark in Asbury Park NJ on Friday September 19, 2014. The proprietor Russell Lewis is a class act. He and his staff made our event perfect: From the top shelf signature cocktails, craft beer, wine, plentiful and delicious food to the stunningly beautiful, upscale venue directly on the boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Russell and his staff are amazingly accommodating and gracious. He listened to our wishes, calmed our nerves and on the evening of the event made our dream wedding come to fruition. We can’t thank and recommend Russell Lewis and the Watermark enough!

Hands Down the best spot on the Jersey Shore, (yes the entire Jersey Shore). The vibe at Watermark is unlike any other, the drinks are phenomenal! Each bartender is like a chemist when it comes to making their drinks. Amazing view, the balcony in the summer is fantastic, you get a great view of any concert that plays at the Stone Pony. You would be crazy not to check this place out.

Stopped by after spending the day on the beach. The view on the waterfront deck was amazing. The cocktail list is extensive and well crafted. Service was fast and attentive. Only downside to the outdoor bar: the seats are just wooden benches, so it can get a little uncomfortable. Overall I would love to go again.

Rude and difficult person to deal with that can not deal with a no for an answer. Very immature and pathetic response after I decided not to book my event in his venue. Poor business management. Im glad I made a background check on the venue before booking my event here.Def not worth your time and money.

I could go to this place all the time so long as there isnt a cover! It is in a great location and it has a beautiful view. Although the staff sometimes could be quicker with helping people who have been waiting, when will you not see that complaint for a bar venue? Lol usually a great spot though

Careful with this place one of the employees cloned me and my cousins credit card info. I know this because my card was only 2 weeks old and the only time it left my RFID shielding wallet was when i paid for my tab at watermark and never gave it out ever again. Shady employees be forewarned.

Always a great spot for cocktails. As one other person once said, "I wish my living room was this nice". Just one criticism, stir my Boulevardier next time, dont shake. And garnish with a peel not an half of orange wheel. Love it here. Cant beat the atmosphere.

Great place with a great view (its on the 2nd floor) of the ocean. Very good service even when crowded. Seating outside as well as inside. Tapas style menu options available as well. Great options for veggies. Nice bar and drink selection. Fun vibe!

Weve been here twice now and would come back everytime we are in the area. Its such a nice bar to have some drinks and relax with friends. Prices are not to crazy either. After 5pm they have a nice indoor area with some couches and seating.

This is by far the best spot in all of Asbury Park. Its best during daytime when you can see the ocean, but transforms into a beautiful space at night as well. The drinks are the best youll find on the jersey shore. Very LGBT friendly.

One of the best places to get a drink on the boardwalk. Great place to go after a long day on the beach. Drinks are always made perfectly. The indoor setting is very relaxing as well. Dont miss this place if youre visiting!

Stunning location with an even more beautiful interior. The place is just amazing and I am getting married there! The service is always impeccable and Russell is terrific as well!

I have been here a few times, and each time I have a blast. Admission is usually free, drinks are inexpensivve, and the crowd is mixed and lively. What more can you ask for??

Overpriced drinks and not enough seating if the outside isnt open. Summer is better with the outside seating and bar. Its right on the beach. Great for people watching
