Electric cowboy believes that a black winter stocking cap is gang related. I was told this by a "manager". I spent four dollars to walk in this joke of an establishment and continued to spend very good money in this place and was approached about my winter cap multiple times, untill I got sick of the obsurd "corporate policy", and left. "Only cowboy hats and baseball caps are allowed inside", said the manager, while EVERY female employee of electric cowboy were wearing santa stocking caps. Note that a baseball cap can be worn in any fashion..forwards, backwards, or cocked any way you please. The only difference between my stocking cap and the Electric Cowboy EMPLOYEE santa hats, is mine was not red and had no fuzzy ball at the end. My black stocking cap was said to "attract a certain type of crowd" referring to gangs, ACCORDING TO THE MANAGER. In my oppinion, as well as most of the general population, it is winter time and a stocking cap is a piece of clothing to keep you warm, not displaying that im in a gang. Electric cowboy, in my oppinion is a joke and WILL GO OUT OF BUISNESS. Guys do not let your significant others go to this establishment because I did see the female preferred "rule bending" attitude displayed in this establishment as mentioned in another review. THE ELECTRIC COWBOY IS A ONE SIDED, OPPINIONATED, OVER-RATED PLACE TO BE.

I have been several times to the Electric Cowboy and Ive always enjoyed the evening! The first thing to catch my eye as different (in a good way) was the "Ladies, do not walk to your car alone..." sign, and they had empolyees in golf carts taking women to their cars. The atmosphere has never been really smokey, so even my friends who dont like to go to "clubs" and "bars" because of the smoke enjoy going. The music is at a nice volume so you can still hear the people around you if you chose to sit at a table, play pool, or play darts. The crowd has always been great as well, with a nice variety of ages. The only complaint Ive had was one evening a buser threw away a full beer that belonged to someone in my group, and my wine glass had someone elses lipstick on it - they quickly replaced the beer for free, and got me a new wine, but the wine wasnt taken off the bill, as I felt it should have been. I didnt complain to the manager though, because I was having such a great time anyway! Great mix of music, as Im not much of a country girl. Quiet folks, loud partiers, dancing divas, and respectable men, all have a blast here! (And the men REALLY ARE VERY RESPECTABLE!)

I come here every now and then and have a good time, other than the fact that they do play a lot of slow songs. I was extremely disappointed though last Wednesday when I went. My group of friends was being safe and I was the DD. Towards the end of the night I went to the bar and asked for a water. They pulled out a regular bottle of water and said it was $8. I refused that, and just asked for a small cup of water. I dont like soda and did not want juice, I just wanted a small little plastic cup of water. They ended up charging me $3 for the cup of water. I know its a bar and thatss how you make money, but at that cost, I couldve gotten an alcoholic drink instead and wouldve at least gotten some of my moneys worth for that. I think it is extremely wrong to discourage being a sober driver. I know they probably didnt mean it that way, but thats the way I felt when they charge me almost as much as an alcoholic drink for my cup of water. This infuriated me and has made me not to want to come back. Other bars Ive been to have no problem handing out water, especially to the driver who has to watch everyone else drink away.

I really liked this place other than the fact that you cant get a frickin drink. I thought that is what bars are for (to get alcoholic beverages and drink them). The whole purpose of a bar is to sell drinks. If you can only get approx. one drink in an hour because of the lack of staff the place cant be making much money. I did learn how to do some different dances here which makes me want to go back because it was fun. Unfortunately, I nor any of the people I know will be going back due to the fact that it is too difficult to get drinks. I dont know about you but if I am going to a bar it is because I want to drink booze and if I cant do that why did I even go out. I agree with the fact that this place will go out of business due to a lack of profit. Cant make money if you dont sell your product. Duh!!!!

I went here for Halloween. When we walked in the door, the DJ played 4 country slow songs in a row, then one fast country song. Then the Halloween costume contest happened, and then when that was over, he played the same fast country song that hed played earlier! After that there was more of a mix in the music. This was my first time coming to the Electric Cowboy, so maybe I was just misinformed, but I thought that there was more of a mix in the music played. Slow country songs all night on Halloween do not a fun party make. Otherwise, it was very clean and the atmosphere was pretty fun.

Im not really into country music, but Electric Cowboy plays a good mix of music. The dance floor was busy the entire time I was there. There was such a mix of people, young and old, cowboys, to very much not cowboys and everything in between. They mix excellent drinks, but need a few more bartenders, I had to wait quite a while to get served most of the time. As far as dancing on the platforms, every bar/club ive ever been to that has platforms for dancing only allow women on them.

If you want to have a good night out then please ignore previous reviews. They do support designated drivers you just have to get a sticker and then your soda and water is free. They do not actually charge $50 on your card, they simply preauthorize it for 50 for the not so honest people that like to start tabs knowing they wont have enough money on it later and then leave. Whatever you dont spend will fall off. Go in and have fun they have the best drink specials in town.

This place advertises cheap drinks (1.75) from 7- 9 but they intentionally only staff 2 bartenders so your s&!t out of luck if you think you can average more than 1 drink a hour. Their will be a 60 person line at each bar while the sole bartender makes drinks for the waitresses as the line of customers grows. All the while the (apparently new) management watches and does nothing to resolve the issue. After 9 conditions improve as more bartenders come on to shift.

Went this past Wednesday. 2nd time there. Each time has been fun as hell. Music volume is good and the music they play is good stuff. Great place to dance. Its like a little smaller version of Wild Country but not as trashy. The guys working there wear cowboy hats rather than sporting mohawks and sleeveless shirts like at WC. And the females that go there actually dress up. Hopefully the place doesnt lose class and get overrun by affliction shirts.
