The View is fantastic. I became a member a couple of months ago & I couldnt be more satisfied. The pricing on membership is affordable, as is childcare. The staff (especially the training staff) are wonderful. Ive had them come over & give me tiny gems that have made working out so much better. Going to the gym when you are overweight & out of shape can be intimidating, but the staff & patrons make it a comfortable environment right as you walk in the doors. Love the fitness area, as well as the pool & gym. I havent tried any of the classes yet, but when I do--Im sure theyll be great!! Love The View! && Anyone giving them less than 5 stars is ridiculous. Sorry to all of you 4 star-ers, but REALLY?!? This is a great facility, and it does (free) things for the community on a large scale: Boo At The View, most recently. There isnt another gym in Kansas City that is as affordable & well maintained as The View. & To the man who saw a staff member racially profiling: have you been back? I would say that The View has a fantastic mix of every color under the sun & were all there just enjoying getting healthier together. In my two+ months there, I havent seen or experienced anything that was inappropriate in that way. In fact, when I was getting my membership, a mother of several children was complaining about them not having the rock-climbing wall open for her children (it has specific hours) & demanding that they give her more day passes for another day. They were handling that situation much better than I would have. Bottom Line: Great gym. Great staff. Great experience.

The View Community Center is designed to get money from families of Grandview residents and others through annual memberships and high dollar daily passes ,but do not provide exceptional customer service to ALL visitors, even members;everyone doesnt receive fair service. I visited the view once and I noticed that there is a false sense of good, FAIR customer service to ALL CUSTOMERS. Im and middle aged Caucasian male, and when I came in for a work out, I was greeted and treated with wonderful and nice customer service. As I sat down in the lobby sometime after my workout, a group of kids came in looking as they were ready to play basketball. As they went to the front desk to sign in, it seemed that they were to be profiled and label as trouble just because they were African American Youth. I was absolutely devastated on seeing how they were treated, as the people at the front desk begin to get an attitude with the kids, assuming that they were going to be trouble. From the looks at it, The View are "scamming" families out of there money by making it seem everyone gets fair and equal service when the youth do not receive the same. For these particular reasons, I will never visit the view again.

I held two events here. I got the buy and switch from the person who signed me up for my reservation versus the ones that were there when the event came up. Felt like I was told anything to get me to make a reservation. The first event I was not able to get into room until exactly the time I had reserved, even though that is not what they told me when I signed up. The tables were not set up correctly, the trash was not taken out. I did not have time to fix it before the event started as I was rushing to get everything ready for event. After the event they tried to give me a fine for not taking the trash out. The second event the tables still not set up correctly, tables, chairs and the floor was still dirty from a birthday party that was there earlier. I double checked the trash as a did not want a to pay an extra fee and it had not been taken out. After two failed attempts I do not have any plans on going back or making future reservations at The View.

I am a regular at The View and it is awesome. The pools are really awesome. They are indoor which is so helpful for people like me with fair skin. The gym is great. I go everyday. In my opinion, I think it is completely worth the price you pay. If youre thinking about getting a membership, Id highly recommend it. The only thing I dont like about The View is the fact that the staff arent always super friendly. They arent ever mean, they just seem like they dont like their job. I love the facility, though! Great place!

Staff at front desk are very nice and social. Nice machines to workout on. Over all very nice facility. Unfortunately several of the life guards have a bad attitude. We like to take our son to swim and there have been several times that they seem put out by our mere existence. But like I said before, my husband, son and I adore the ladies at the front desk.

The facility is great for the price. The staff is friendly but there is a lack of training or something because it takes forever to get anything done and sometimes it is not done properly when they do, do it. 2 stars until they get some staff who are trained properly to do what they need to do.

Great playground and skate park.The playground is animal themed and is uniquely designed. I take my (3) kids there at least once a week. Restrooms are the best I have ever seen in a city/state-run park. Mostly families with kids ages 1-12. I have never felt unsafe or uneasy about the crowd.

Exhilarating. I really enjoy the senior classes that are instructed by Flo. I am also looking forward to joining her water aerobics classes. I have gained more strength and flexibility since joining. Have also had some weight loss.

This facility is well lit, well equipped, and clean. Its track, basketball court, and mens and womens locker rooms as well make it a nice place to exercise.
