What you get on the Jackal is some beautiful views, generally good greens (good speed as well), and overall an enjoyable experience. Having a rangefinder with slope will help you immensely on this course due to the elevation on certain holes. Possibly a step below the best courses of metro Detroit, but a great value course for the money. I like the course a lot. This course is not for the hacker that hits the ball all over and always pulls out their driver no matter what danger lies ahead. If this is you, bring a dozen balls or more. For the thinking or decent golfer, you should enjoy it.

Well, where do I start...if you like a traditional golf course, this course is not for you. The first 9 holes are as if you are playing a "putt-putt" golf course. Ridiculous, unrealistic elevation changes. Rolling fairways and many hidden/blind shots. Heavily wooded, many hazards, unkept bunkers, and super heavy rough. Bring your junk balls as you will lose many. The only reason I give this course 2 stars is because the back 9 plays some what to some thing that resembles a regular course. I wont be back and wouldnt recommend.

More like 2.5 stars. The course itself is well laid out and has potential to be really nice. It seems the owners are just sitting back with a skeleton crew allowing the course to function but not making any improvements. The fairways are tight at times but not too bad. Great course (potential) but needs a lot of TLC. Golf cart #57 is a rolling dumpster. The pro shop had no logo balls. Ill come back in 5 years when they decide to run it like a real golf course...

Course was great. Staff members were nice. Only thing that pissed me is was that people kept skipping holes and running up and down the fairway to do it. We werent slow or holding anyone up either. They just kept jumping around and no ranger out there to prevent it. If they fix that theyd have a gem of a place to golf

Literally a dump, and step off the cart path and the ranger will blow you up. 6 good holes, 6 ok, 6 terrible. Also they will charge your 6 year old full price on Sunday night an hour before dark. Poorly run, bad greens, get what you pay for....

This golf course makes you hit golf shots!! If you want to come out and spray the ball all over this is not the course for you. The course is in great shape and has great deals. It makes you think your way around it.

Horrible experience. Everyone I encountered was either rude or in a bad mood, the sand traps need a lot of attention kind of like hitting out of an abandoned beach. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

The golf pro/caddie was very permissive of bringing your own alcoholic beverages to the course. Overall the course is ok. The carts break down and the try and stick you with the repair bill. Beware!

The pro shop has logo balls. The course is in great shape for how hot it has been. It was my first time playing this course. The views are great . It is a good challenging course.

Not sure I understand some of the negative reviews. Course is in great condition and is very challenging. Definitely an unorthodox course, so be sure to play smart.

One of absolute favorite golf courses to play at. Gorgeous scenery to go with a well kept up challenging course.

No Stars! Rude ranger yelled during play. 1 portapotty for 18 holes? Stay away.
