This is a very nice place to get away from it all during the week or after work for a walk and to get back to nature. I would even say perfect if you have someone to share the time with, and definitely worth the $5 in-state admission fee. Its probably not much more than a 1.5 mile (2.5 km) loop from the parking lot over the dam, to the beach and around through the woods back to the parking lot again, so most everyone can do it. The small beach away on this fresh water pond is nice, especially for family and the kids. The trail is short, but relaxing and good for mushroom hunting, photography, or even a romantic walk. I highly recommend it.

I love this place. Very nice scenery. Relaxing. Great for stress relief. Good for a date. The beach type area is good for a swim. I see people take their pets here all the time and they have a blast. There are also kayaks and canoes and paddleboards that can be rented for a great day activity. There is ample walking paths for killing time and getting some nice healthy hiking exercise. Great place to go for a run too. Fishing is okay, but I have not caught anything huge here, maybe I am just unlucky.

Going to the park in July 4th was the worst idea Ive ever made. We spent over an hour waiting on the line to get in. Once we got in after paying the parking fees (8$), we couldnt find a spot in any area (picnic area, beach...). Lots of ice bags and trash were everywhere because ppl were angry. The parking staff supervisor was rude when I told him that there is no spot left (he didnt want to give me refund of even apologizing). I ended up leaving the park right away like everyone does.

This is a very good place to enjoy with a family and friends. Not very far from Boston. You can enjoy different activities including a swim on the small pools and kayaking. They have a nice small beach which will be crowded on summer days. The day parking fee is $8 per vehicle from memorial day to labor day. You can enjoy some BBQ too as the picnic area will provide plenty.

I come here 3-5 times during the week. Plenty of trails, a large lake, boat rentals, picnic areas and a beach area. I love this place, but each time I come I have to bring a bag. There is just too much garbage all over the park. I dont know what sort of people would come to nature only to throw their cans and napkins everywhere. Leave no trace, lads & ladies!

The park is kept up well with friendly staff. The park has several large areas that are accommodating to a wide variety of people. The water is nice for those who like to float around and relax. There is a large boat ramp are if you bring your own or you can rent a variety of different boats at the park.

The park itself was well maintained. This is great if thats what your looking for. $8 entry, very short trails unless your ride the outside edge. Very busy in the summer time. Beaches for the masses. Dog friendly, but we could have just went into the woods for free.

Reasonable rental rates for kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards. Bath houses. Beautiful park. Will sometimes fill up on hot summer weekends and gates close temporarily until parking becomes available again.

Looks nice from the road, but thsts as close as youll get to it on a Summer Day. Dont drive 45 minutes to get there because you wont get in if the parking lot is full. And the parking lot will be full.

(practically in my backyard). A good number of trails although many roots crossing them can make them a little tricky. Theres a good road to park on just south of the park near baypath shelter.

Easily accessible off of Route 85. Plenty of parking. Very low traffic in Winter. Great place to walk dogs. Lots of people let them off-leash, which is great. Miles of great, marked trails.

This park is very nice. The only negative is the police patrols. Is this really necessary? It is very nice to swim here (open water) because there are no motorized boats permitted.
