I signed my baby up for an infant swim class. The instructor, Brittany, was great. There were no issues with the class and other staff and patrons are very friendly. The manager of the whole building is knowingly or unknowingly a little gruff. She explained rules on everyones first day and it felt as if she was going through the motions and trying to get somewhere else and slightly annoyed. I also saw her have a negative interaction with a patron at the splash park outside. She, for reasons unknown to me, asked if he had alcohol in his cooler as he was exiting the park with his children and everyone else (there was a thunderstorm) and he became upset and offended. I think if she had a better bedside manner it would have went a long way towards de-escalating the situation. He was leaving and did not appear to be inebriated, so I am unsure the point of the fly by accusation. Anyway, he ultimately resorted to using a few expletives and she decided to call park police who is nearby. I was pulling off as they arose and am unsure of the ultimate outcome of the situation. The kiddie pool was out of order which was a let down. Also, life guards at the splash park are overzealous in their administering of the pool rules and a select few were ever so slightly immature in their interest of flirting with one another and conversing over fully focusing on the job at hand. All others were fine and demonstrated appropriate professional conduct.
