I go to V&S frequently. Theyve got a great environment, friendly staff, and almost every night of they week they have live music. They host a variety of genres and styles, a weekly comedy night and open mic (where drums and bass & guitar amp are provided), and there is even an out door patio with its own bar. The quality of the food is exceptional. They have enough variety at reasonable prices to offer something fresh and new on a regular basis and are almost always running a food and or beverage special of some sort. Visit. Youre gonna have a great time!

I was there for the first time to see a very good jazz artist I know well. I was unfortunately surprised to learn that Villain and Saint is pretty much a dive bar with a stage. The menu is limited and the food was average to below average. They quite a few beers in their selection but nothing but rot gut wines. The music was top notch but the food and service are not up to par. Ill be going back because a few of my favorite artist will be performing but I that is extent of the enjoyment - the music.

Non-douchy bar with live music on weekends. The clientele tends towards 30s or 40s (but with twentysomethings too). People here appreciate the band and do dance and dont care about whatever someone might think about the way they dance. Overall peaceful atmosphere. Full bar with many nice cocktails. The outdoor area has its own bar and is perfect for relaxing (and smoking) away from the music.

I would have given five stars, but no longer.... They changed the chef and dont have BBQ ribs anymore; those were to die for. Also, other familiar items on the menu taste bland and the portion is smaller. It remains the best place for live music and discovery of local talent, but not for food. The staff is great though.

A nice venue. Very clean and attractive. Great design and photos of famous musicians. Great to catch music as it isnt too loud and possible to chat with friends if you like during the performance. Not a listeners venue in that sense. Food is solid and service is good albeit slow at times. Delicious sweet potato fries!!!

Dont go to the food truck; the service was poor and the pork shoulder burrito was bland. I heard from the woman in line in front of me that the chili was good, but waiting 10 minutes for her to taste it, ask about every item on the menu, and chat with the guy about who worked there added to my frustration.

Somewhat bizarre and out of the ordinary evening - Im guessing on that - nonetheless, a lit of kids running around next door (probably a party at the pizza place). Plus there was a fire in the building 2 doors down. Beer selection ok. Salted beet salad was an off the wall option, and very tasty.

We stopped in for dinner around 7, but were told there was a $10 cover charge to eat inside, so we headed for the door. They suggested we try out back where there was no cover but when we got to the deck it was full of other people trying to avoid the cover so we left to find a quicker option.

If you want to enjoy a nice live band and have some drinks, then this is a good spot. But if you want a nice dinner, I dont think its a good option. Stuff at Villan & Saint are super friendly and engage with their customers as well.

Came here with my husband on a whim. Definitely will be back. Saint menu looks healthy but I am all about the villain side. On a nice night the deck is a perfect place to be. And Our dog was welcomed with open arms.

I got kicked out at 1:10 on a Saturday? So when do they actually close.. just a little confused, says 2am but either way, cool place for good music, just wish hours were consistent. For us planners out there.

Good deals for happy hour on drinks and food. Spacious outdoor seating and bar. Not worth a visit outside happy hour or for any special events. Food isnt all that great either as far as standard bar fare.

Finally got to stop by last weekend and loved it! Glad to actually have some live music in Bethesda again. Great menu, drinks, cool decor, and our server (Chris) was fantastic. Love this place!
