My son is completely obsessed with Thomas. So when planing his birthday party what could be better than having his party on a train. That s the ONLY reason why choose them and continued with the party. They charge $450 for only the place for an hour and a half and a not 100% guaranteed train ride. When I contacted them I was only given 3 days to get the contract back to them, even though I contacted them almost 2 months before the party date. 2 days before the party I was sent an email reminding me that I couldnt have any balloons, they stated it was in the contract, which it was not! I was also given a parking pass, so that I could park somewhere that would be easier to unload everything and my hosts name that would be helping me with everything. Well, on the day of the party I call, as stated in the email, and ask where I can park and they tell me that I just park out front in the regular parking. Therefore, I have to carry all my things through the whole museum. Once Im beginning to set up the host didnt do absolutely anything but watch until I asked him to put 1 item together. I no longer saw him until he was bringing guests back and that was it. 15 minutes before the party time ends he finally shows up again and says that we need to start cleaning up. I tried to quickly cut the cake and was told I couldnt as he and another employee began to take everything out of the train. 2 people from the party stayed to help clean up as we all rode the train. After the train ride we asked if we could finally have some cake outside on their picnic tables, since they were all empty and the party included free admission to the museum until close. The manager first told us no. At which our party began to become frustrated and the manager eventually said yes although she was not apologetic about the way they had handled our party at all. We were given ONLY an additional 30 minutes on the picnic tables. Our host finally apologized for not being helpful at all and gave the children a free ride on the carousel. Its very unfortunate that an event that has so much potential to be a great day for a child is ruined by the horrible staff and terrible rules that this place has. Even though my son loves this place I WILL NOT take him here again. They only want your money and for you to get out.

I like when they have events for children to enjoy and have fun, but i dont like the prices, specially for people on disability, or social sercurity, social services. See we have bills to pay, if u dont have a lot of money its hard. Plus i feel if you pay for an events the rides should be free, for children under like 10 yrs old, . I also feel that you shouldnt have to pay extra for the train ride, but other then that, they have some of the most amazing employees, like Patty Mills, Travis Harry, Ms. Irene, Mr. Imaganation man. And other voleenteers, plus the ladies in the cafe, Ms. Linda and her crew. They work for a nice cratering company. One of my neighbors works part time for them. I hope you will take the experience, and go there with your children they even have activities for all children at heart. They have atory time, during Thomas the train they have a activity tent with tattoos, macroni necklace, ride toys tent, bubbles area, sometimes pet zoo, u can buy pit beef, or ham, pretzels, and other good foods, they have a Thomas the train buying center, then they have polor express, they have Christmas events, the pictures are of my grandchildren and my best friend s great niece, & nephew. This day my granddaughternwas not feeling to good, ahe sleep most of thw time. But she enjoyed it when she was awake. They love going during the aummer events. They also have amazing birthday partys there to. So i want tomsay thank you B&O railroad, i alao want to thank you for letting me help out there during the thomas events, just to see the smile on the children faces, they joy they have, plus when they are crying you help to put a smile on thier faces and help their parents. Thank you from Elizabeth ( jeannie ) Bowers, Brooklyn & Jj, plus this year i will bring my other grandchildren so they can experience the fun, joy of the railroad, my youngeat grandaon loves exploring. And my oldeat granddaughter is in the grade to learn about our history.

I just called to ask general customer services questions before even visting..we are new to this area and actually live in middle river md..for all of Baltimore why would anyone pay our hard earned money to visit somewhere that the people on the phone are short with you rude and not even trying to get yours or anyone elses business..even without the experience of going there stuff like this should be posted too it was wrong and I would never bring my children there for some adult to be rude and short with them due to and overwhelming weekend. Thanks BBRailroad of Baltimore MD I am sure there are other attractions...

My son was so excited to go to Thomas the Train Day on April 26 2015. Unfortunately due to the unrest in the city my family and I decided not to go. When I called and explained that we did not want to visit because of the potential risk I was told that in no way could I get a refund for my money. They people I talked to were rude about it, and told me too bad. However, I noticed on the website that this weekend Thomas events are postponed. Shame on you for taking my money without care that I was choosing safety over coming to your establishment. I will NEVER visit, and will discourage people from visiting.

I would highly discourage any person from booking a birthday party here. Be prepared to pay for every single person who enters and re-enters the facility. This will pose a problem to a host with parents who choose to drop off their children. Staff here are bent on taking advantage of your wallet. Besides the ridiculous tactic used here to charge you, your birthday party coordinator is incredibly rude and insensitive and does not have an accommodating approach to your party needs. Lastly, the party room/train was rented with extreme filth and in need of a facelift.

Impressive collection of locomotives from early steam to late 20th century diesel electric. The collections are incredibly well-preserved and the museum allows visitors to explore them freely. Not just for kids and train enthusiasts, the museum will appeal to anyone who appreciates industrial innovation and American history. We were in Baltimore for a convention and visited the museum in the morning, which is a short (and safe) walk from the harbor up Pratt Street. Yes, this is the B&O Railroad from the popular board game. Were enjoyed our visit!

Had an excellent visit! Volunteer guides were very helpful and knowedgable. The locomotives, rollimg stock and model railroads exhibits were incredible and the Roundhouse was stunning! If you love trains, history or are simply looking for something different and fun to do, the B&O Railroad Museum is an excellent choice. They also have free parking which for entertainment venues in Baltimore is a big plus. A good time was had by all! Many thanks to the volunteers and staff who make it all happen, well done!
