Chickie Wah Wah is one of our favorite music venues in New Orleans. We can see up close and personal world class performers such as Paul Sanchez, Meschiya Lake, Antoine Diel, Arsene DeLay, Tom McDermot and many others. Where else can you sit close to the stage and interact with the performers before, during and after their shows. The food is great, too. We love Chickie Wah Wah.

The bar itself is a nice venue, with a decent layout, and fair amount of 2-top tables and floorspace. Drinks reasonably priced, but the three bartenders couldnt keep up with the crowd, and the service I received (~30 minute wait with cash flashing) was rather surly. Probably a decent place for the off-nights, but wouldnt recommend for the weekend.

Love it! Whenever im in town I have to go at least once. Eclectic local sound. And you get to ride the streetcar to get there from the French Quarter.
