Vinic is our favorite liquor/wine store in Cook County, for sure. First, the store itself looks magical. Its warm and inviting with rows upon rows of wine in the back. Theres a nicely stocked section for other types of booze (beers, spirits, etc). I think they even make sandwiches now. They have a cute sidewalk patio for enjoying your wine outside when its nice. The staff are super friendly - weve asked them to order several liquors for us before and theyve gotten them. Theyve always been really helpful. I havent done any tastings yet, but they always look really fun (from the outside). All in all, a solid wine/liquor store. I hope theyre a permanent fixture in Evanston.

Great new store (theyve only been open for 2 and a half months) with an excellent selection and knowledgeable owners. We walked around looking for a Malbec, and after we asked for some recommendations, we ended up with a delicious 12 dollar bottle. On this Saturday night, they had a couple bottles open for wine tasting - they supposedly have free samplings every Friday (5-7 pm) and Saturday (3-7pm). First time Ive ever seen a free sampling...would highly recommend this place!

This little place is packed to the brim with great wine. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable about wine (obviously). They have wine separated by region, as well as type, which is a refreshing if somewhat confusing way to shop for wine. If you are looking for something special, or even just a bottle to have with dinner, this is the place to come. They have a great frequency program, which allows you to save on a more expensive bottle once you fill your punch card.

What you dream about in a great local wine store. The owner, Sandeep, is a delight, and the selection is as diverse as you can get. Great cheese and charcuterie, which you can have with your own selection or what they are pouring. Nice crowds hanging out on Fridays and Saturdays.

This place has gotten better each time Ive come in. Its cozy, I always get terrific advice on which wine to buy, and the selection is phenomenal. They even have a table set up if you want to study and hang out.
