I tend to think places like the Hard Rock Cafe are reserved for tourists in most circumstances so in all of my life living in Chicago, Id never been here. As a recent maid of honor, it was my job to come up with a night full of debauchery and menace suitable for a wild bride-to-be and her posse. I figured Hard Rock would be a good option because I imagined most of the girls also being Chicago natives may have never been here. Plus, its a party kind of atmosphere and we werent looking to have a nice sit-down meal, just a foundation to absorb all of the nights festive cocktails. This turned out to be the perfect place to start the evening and I would recommend going here again for appetizers and drinks to start out a fun night downtown. Everyone here is basically in for a good time so the servers make sure you are entertained and keep the drinks coming. Our bartender called the bachelorette onto the bar for some dirty shots and lots of crowd cheering. Plus she got a commemorative shot glass to take home. And all of us being huge music fans got a kick out of seeing some of the memorabilia throughout the restaurant.

By far the best service Ive ever gotten at a restaurant - I left the waiter and the seater $20 tips on a relatively small bill, just $60 for 2 including an appetiser, 2 entrees and a desert (plus drinks of course). Anyway, they were both the nicest, most personable servers Ive ever had. I have to mention that we came very last minute. It was the last night of our Chicago trip, and we didnt have time to eat and go back to our hotel before boarding our bus. They kept our suitcases and bags behind the counter so we didnt have anything to worry about. Another surprising thing was how good the food was. I got the onion burger and words cant describe how amazing it was. The fries were also possibly the best Ive ever had. The ambiance was beyond words. Im sure others have described how cool it was, so let me just say it does not disappoint. Looking forward to coming back again!

This was my second time I was visiting Hard Rock Cafe. Actually we were headed to another nearby restaurant: Three dots and a dash, but we couldnt manage a reservation for the night. And fortunately it was for the best because HRC didnt disappoint us. The service was awesome: the most friendly server I have ever met. Food was awesome too. We ordered several items for starter and then entrée. I liked the fried shrimp platter the most. They dont have the best beer collection but I was fortunate enough to taste two of the new beers I havent tasted before and I definitely liked those. By the way they have a great collection of cocktails though if you are interested. Ambiance was great, particularly for Friday night dinner party. The overall experience was perfect indeed.

Its got to be said when visiting a Hard Rock cafe you could be in Timbukto or Torquay theyre pretty much al the same, is that a bad thing? Probably not.Service was very good, the restaurant was busy on a wet Sunday evening, we were seated and orders taken quickly but not rushed. I ordered the Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich, nice piece of Chicken, though it could have been a bit hotter, crispy bacon, though only two small rashers and the honey mustard was a little sparse, but it was tasty and filling, fries were excellent it must be said. Good choice of music over the p.a which wasnt obtrusive and an enjoyable meal. ($11 for a fridge magnet though!?!?!)

Went to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday. I have no problem with paying for food and experience but because the terrible waiter we had, it was over priced. Took so long to take our order, have my daughter the wrong side, the place could not afford the rights to sing Happy birthday so he bummed it. Would have been ok if he didnt do it half ass and rushed through the experience. When we paid the bill, we asked to split the bill between two credit cards. He did split it, but he charge both halves on one credit card. Our dinner was at 7pm on Saturday, August 11th. That is also our last.

This is a decent sized HR, but it doesnt particularly stand out from the rest of the HRs that Ive been to. Their host was very friendly and the waiter was nice, but rushed. He looked very overwhelmed with his tables and he didnt spend more than 2 minutes at at a time with our table. The manager brought out our food and was very accomodating. The bartender couldnt make us a simple martini, so we had to settle for one of their overpriced, watered-down mojitos instead. The food was pretty bland and overpriced. I guess thats what you get in a touristy restaurant like this one.

I ordered the twisted mac and cheese. The food was okay but overpriced. The waitress recommended broccoli in the dish, but didnt inform us it would be an extra charge. In the middle of dinner a band came on to play, so the regular music was turned off. For the rest of dinner, the band would play a few notes, then "check, check" in the microphones. They were on stage for over 20 minutes doing sound checks!! Trying to have a dinner conversation through that was iimpossible. This is a place for tourists, but I doubt many will be back a second time. Not recommended.

Ate here last Saturday night and enjoyed the atmosphere and dinner with a light crowd. I have eaten a few HRCs and outside of Las Vegas The Strip, this one was one of the better experiences. Our waiter was very informative and offered other options since my son is a picky eater and advised us that some up-charges would be incurred for our selections. I wish I could remember his name to request him when we come back as he provided us with great service. Great place for food if you love Rock & Roll History and music.

A typical hard rock cafe except for the exceptional service. The prices are not high compared to other hard rock locations across the country. The rock and roll memorabilia is outstanding here and the decor is very colorful. You eat, drink, hear good music, see history on the walls. The food is standard chain fare, good, not great. Yes, its a tourist trap, but an enjoyable one at that. #CityExperts @GoogleLocalCHI
