My husband and I live in a small town in Kansas. On a recent trip to Chicago to see our son and his spouse they took us to your brewery for beer sampling. I loved the little beer tasting glasses, and I talked your staff into selling me one with a purpose in mind. Merle, the bar tender at our one local bar and grill, Farleys, noticed that I always ordered Pinot Noir but I can never drink a whole glass. He found a small wine glass and started giving me half-priced wine in it. But it was thin and soon developed cracks. I told Merle that I had a new glass but that it had writing on it. He said "We dont care!" So I took it to Farleys, and every time we go there, I get half priced Pinot in a Begyle Brewing glass, which they hung up with the rest of the glasses and save just for me! Now the whole staff at Farleys knows about my Begyle glass, and whoever is at the bar knows to give it to me. Such is life in Lindsborg, Kansas population about 3 thousand. The beer is great. I could end the review right there. But where this place really shines is its neighborhood-centric vibe and tasting room. Walking into this brewery rather than, say, Goose Island is like walking into your friendly corner pub rather than Barleycorn. On a Sunday afternoon, there were plenty of seats and a very brief line. There is no bar, its just a counter from which you purchase beer, growlers, and schwag. Said counter is staffed by people proud of their product and happy to discuss it with you. I highly recommend you make a trip here!

YES!!!! The world needs more breweries, period. And when it gets breweries like this one, so much the better. It pretty much fits the mold of a craft beer taproom: unfinished floors, minimalist decor, etc. But the beer is fantastic, the tshirts are cool, the staff is friendly and the clientele are chill. I spent a great Sunday evening just chilling and drinking among the many bearded dudes, tattooed ladies and their dogs. On a quiet leafy sidestreet off a major thoroughfare (Irving Park).

Went with my family for the tour and had a great time. They are very personable and gave a nice history of the fledgling brewery. Most important, however, is that their beers taste great. I wish I could buy it where I live in Ohio. We have a thriving craft beer community in Cleveland and Begyle would be able to hold their own with our local offerings.

We did a tour here for a bachlorette party and it was absolutely amazing. The founder of the brewery did the tour himself and totally read the crowd and realized we really cared more about drinking a beer and having a dance party vs hearing the history of beer, and he was amazing and went with it! Totally a great place for a group tour for any event!!!

Space aged growler refill. Staff feels like a pair of comfortable pajamas. Like they know you. Nice array of table top games. Gets kinda jammy, crowded, busy place on the weekend. Maybe like the L does after all the bars let out. On a Saturday morning. Sort of like rush hour. If everyone was drunk. And wanted to be friendly.

The staff is super nice and very knowledge about their product. Sampled a ton of their beers which were free so that was great. The brewery itself so so laid back. Me and my friends had a great time. Out of the four breweries I went to I thought their beer tasted the freshest. Cant wait to visit you guys soon. Thanks!

Like this area of Chicago needs more breweries as there are so many good ones to pick from. One of the better Chicago breweries with various sizes pours available just 1 block from a Brown Line stop. Dog friendly and theyll open up the portion of the brewery floor on a weekend to handle larger crowds.

If great beer and a good time is in your wheelhouse then Begyle is a place you should visit. The staff and owner care about your experience. From the taste of the beer to the Genesis of their existence. Its a great time for a beer and if you want to know more about how beer is made.

a bar with a greta rolling selection of beers, including something for just about every palate. There is no shortage of great breweries in Chicago, but Begyle stands out for its CSB (look it up), skee ball, yoga, and dog-friendly, BYO-Food taproom. Superior vibe for a superior time.
