Dont bother.....The course was average and gimmicky. Several 90 degree doglegs and sub 350 yard holes. The condition was not bad, but it wasnt emaculat either. The practice facilities were sub par, which brings me to my real problem. After my round, we drove back over to the driving range. After about 15 minutes the head "cart boy" drove his cart right up on the range and told us we had to leave. I made sure he knew we had paid for and just finished a round, but he said it didnt matter, that he had already let us hit for 15 minutes and that access to the range was only allowed pre-round. I was shocked and a little embarrassed so I decide to run in and let the pro shop know that they had a rogue cart boy. They informed me that although they were unaware of a pre/post round driving range policy, he was just doing his job. Well done Santa Rosa Golf Club using your cart boys in a dual role as customer relations agents. I really enjoyed laying out several hundred dollars in your establishment and then getting run off by a 42 year old cart boy with bad breath and bed head. Thanks again for the average golf and atrocious service.

Hey I liked this course like I like virtually all golf courses. It played well, is in good shape, the greens were very fast and rolled true. Every interaction I had with the staff was pleasant, but then, Im a friendly guy. Im 67, have been playing about 15 years and have played literally all over the country. I had a very enjoyable round of golf here and the only drawback I could see was the price. $91 and change w/ the tax is very pricey, but I was willing to pay it, and would pay it again if we are back here. Carts are new and immaculate. Range was nice and convenient and part of the green fee. Bunkers are well sanded w/ white sand. Challenges for all level of player. Risk/reward shots abound. Im an 18 handicap and I shot an 87. They dont allow you to walk if youre not a member. This irks me slightly, but I totally see why they do it.

The day before my scheduled round of golf, I checked in with the pro shop to confirm my tee time and get my bearings (since Im visiting from another state), and found the gentleman manning the pro to be extremely rude and condescending. So, anticipating the worst the next morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful and accommodating staff on duty that morning. The course itself isnt too difficult but -- and they gave fair warning -- most of the tees had been moved up because most of the tee boxes were being redone. Fair enough, although there were times when it was difficult to know where the next hole began. I was paired with a very nice gentleman who was also visiting the area and all in all we had a good time.

Pro shop and bag drop staff are incredibly rude! The driving range had been closed and the water in the clubhouse was not working because of a lightening strike the night before. Granted the damages were not in their control, but they could have called us ahead of our tee time to let us know the driving range would be closed and that the club house would have limited beverage service. Or they could have provided a discount for the inconvenience. After the round, we told the bag guy that they should have called us, and he again assured us that he did not know himself and that again it was not his fault. I never want to deal with crabby spiteful staff again at this place.

Ive played here 6-7 times and have always gotten good service. The pro shop staff arent bubbly and cheerful, but hey - theyre all 70-80 yr old men. Theyre very business like, but have never been rude. The course is always is great shape, and is a fun and fair challenge. In regards to the complaints about price - thats what golf costs at the beach. Sandestins courses are way more than that if youre not staying there. Bottom line is, if you want a $40 goat track, or if you want to hit unlimited balls AFTER your round, go somewhere else. If you want a fun round of golf on a very well kept course, thats not in Destin or Panama City, this is your place.

Will be visiting the area in July. Called to ask about the Golf Academy shown on the mobile website (for my husband as an anniversary gift). Lady was rude and acted like I was crazy, saying they didnt offer "an academy." When I asked about guest golf fees, she started talking to someone else in the background and asked me to repeat myself. She finally gave me the rates, but seemed very put-off by my questions. She was already talking to someone else in the background before I even finished the call. Will never recommend this course to any of our numerous friends who frequently vacation in this area.

We were in town from Texas and for the price we were about to pay I was expecting 5 star everything. Turns out staff is not very helpful, only good service was the server at the turn behind the bar. Grounds crew was on the course during the entire back nine, switching hole placement, always seeming to be waiting for us to take a shot. If your going to pay good money to play I would recommend somewhere closer to the water with better review.

This place is incredible. We came to this restaurant after they advertised a special dinner. When we came and mentioned the special we got turned down at the door. The reason was we didnt have reservations. Funny though that in their add was nothing mentioned about reservations. So back at home we called in and tried to talk to them with the result: They hang up on us. How nice is that ! Well make up your own opinion about that.

Its been a couple years when I last played this course. Here is my experience. Members only attitude. Staff rude to guests. They allow members only Fivesomes. I was in a twosome stuck behind a Fivesomes of women that would not let us play through. For a short course, pace of play was slow. There are better options which is why I havent been back to this golf course.

Fun and challenging course... Although it seemed like we caught them in the middle of construction (redoing the driving range as well as the tee boxes) and more than aerating the greens as described, it was still a fun course that I cant wait to play again and hopefully recoup all my balls I left in the drink there.
