I wasnt going to write this review, but then it happened a second time and I feel the need to say something. Ive come to this bar with a bunch of my friends SO many times and have spent so much money there each time. I loved it and it was one of my favorite places to go. Then one day, I had gone in. A few of us had drinks, played pool, hung out. The bartender on duty that night told us that we had to leave because she was closing. It was only 1 oclock (they close at 2) and she was allowing a group of guys stay. She only kicked us out. It annoyed us, especially since she said it with an attitude when we were nothing but great guests and great tippers. We werent drunk, we just minded out business and played pool. So we left. Then I went there another night. It was me and two other girls and we walked in no later than 12:15. The second we walked through the door, she told us that she was closing and that we had to leave. I understand it was a weekday, but it wasnt even 12:30 and they CLOSE AT 2. Again, when we had gotten there, there were a group of guys sitting at the bar, laughing, and hanging out. There was another time I had gone there on their famous Wednesday. I walked to the bar to open a tab and she wouldnt even look me in the eye, she talked to every person around me and every person who walked up to the bar AFTER me. Its so disrespectful. If I was rude to her, Id understand. But I have never been anything but a patient, good tipping, and nice customer. And nothing unnerves me more than someone purposely treating guests that arrive at the bar after me and completely ignoring me. This bartender is a brunette girl who worked alone both nights. She has such an attitude (especially towards girls) and is absolutely rude. Because of her, I decided to stop spending my money at Hideaway and go to Freaky Tiki where the staff is nothing but sweet and know how to treat their customers. As for you, Hideaway: pick better bartenders. Youre going to keep losing money if you have rude bartenders who are lazy and close up two hours early, and completely ignore guests who go up to the bar.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My friends daughter is about to be 23 and she is one of the best kids Ive ever met. Never does anything wrong. She went in the other night with some friends and of course she was carded. She handed the bartender her ID and he asked if she had a student ID as well for proof that her license was real. She was confused and said "no Im not in college anymore...so I only brought my ID. But I have my debit card if you would like" He then told her that her ID was fake and the strip was on the wrong side of the card and it was a bit blury. She said (very politely I might add) "Well Im sure IDs have changed in 7 years. I got this when I was 16." He told her "you need to get a new ID." and she said, "I dont need a new one. This one isnt expired." Then he said "If youre gonna have an attitude, Im not going to serve you. I can refuse to serve whoever I want. So what do you want to drink?" She very classily said "I dont want anything from you." and her and her friends left the bar and the Hideaway lost $100 that night. A small amount Im sure but I can promise you that I will never attend and never recommend this place to anyone ever again. In fact, I will go out of my way to tell people not to attend here.

I had the absolute worst experience here tonight with Andrew T. as the bartender. He watched me walk in and then I sat at the bar for 15 minutes before he came over, because he was too busy smoking a cigarette and talking to people at the end of the bar. When he finally came over he greeted my friends and I with "what the f*** can I get you". He continued using foul language and was extremely rude to us then told us to get out of his Bar because we had attitude after we decided we didnt want anything because of the way we were treated. I then watched him chug a beer behind the bar. Ive never had a bad experience here but I am absolutely appalled, I came to have a drink and a fun time with friends but it was ruined, so thanks for that.

We used to frequent this place but at last count (this eve) was 12 ladies to about 60 men. Nice if youre gay or a chick that wants to be groped. I witnessed the weasel of a manager stiff the band out of 1/2 their pay (of a crappy $200) because their music wasnt to clienteles liking...like thats THEIR fault? The band was a quality, folksy sounding band and Hideaway hired them to play in a techno-dance bar??? WTF were you thinking? I told the band that we would see to it they got their $100 back in lost sales and meant it. Well never return, hope ya close down Hideaway, youll not be receiving any more money from the 5 of us.

Horrible Staff extremely rude when I went back and checked my credit card bill they changed the amount of the bill and tip themselves more out of the bill. which Im going to dispute. Wanted a tab but had to hold card witch is stupid. Should have the ability to swipe and hold open. Wouldnt give me couple dollars off card to play pool. 100% junk staff and would never go back.

Im going to buy their whole plaza, condem it, demo it, and build a cop parking lot because thats what the hideaway is a cop entrapment bar, the employees, the owner, all work for cops. Besides only people that go to this bar are punks and losers, youll never meet anyone nice there, STAY AWAY!!!!

Overpriced for crapy drinks. Extra charges for everything!!!!!!! This place is a joke, tiny hole in the wall in safety harbor/clearwater area. But they charge like new york city. Unreal! There is so many better bars in this area. Peace out hidaway. Robbing your customers.

WORST PLACE TO GO WHEN BUSY. WED NIGHTS ARE $1 drinks and free fights. Come by and get punched, stabbed, or a bottle hit over ur head. SAT NIGHTS LADIES NIGHTS nasty girls and thugs welcome. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GO.

A fun place, with a large parking lot. Great, even, if you have a tendency to end all your sentences with "bro!". Absolutely lame if youre more into meaningful conversation and music that isnt streaming directly from the top40.

Went there to hang with some out-of-town guests and grab a couple of beers and it was nice. The bartender was very nice and pleasant and our guests enjoyed the casualness of the place. Would llke to visit again soon.
