John Hodges works at the Washington Park Rec Center. He teaches weight training to fat white ladies, yells at little kids, and struts around like Mr.Universe. Really, John Hodges is just a tall, overweight, egotistical black guy with a "whitie did it" complex. He curses in front of kids. I saw a family mix it up with him a few months ago because he was picking on their son or daughter. I saw him verbalizing a little boy who was playing in the lobby area. Funny, I never see this self-promoting douche bag take on an adult his own size. John Hodges, you should be in prison. You should be in a half-way house. You should be anywhere except where kind, decent, paying customers are. You arent Mr.Universe. Youve got some of the worst stretch marks Ive ever seen. You are visibly overweight. You simply arent the best picture of health, but I guess those who cant do teach. Get real, you ignorant bully.

Washington Park is beautiful and very well maintained. Great meeting place for friends and family to have a get together. Two beautiful lakes and well-organized paved bike and walking path. If you play Pokemon GO, youll wont be in short supply of items or pokemon. Plenty of PokeStops and gyms. With the new raid feature, theres almost always a raid group in the area. I would have to say that Id like there to be more permanent bathrooms with water fountains available. The port-a-pottys arent disgusting exactly, but permanent bathrooms would be a welcome change. Better signage for car accessible entrances and exits as well. The first time we visited the park, it was very confusing.

I absolutely love this park, in all seasons. I take my baby for stroller walks at the park all the time. If you go in the morning during the week, you miss a lot of the crowds.. this park is beautiful and well-known, so the weekends are crazy busy. But its a great park, people are always playing volleyball, tennis, frisbee, doing yoga in the grass, walking their dogs.. Ive even spotted a few people fishing, although I dont think youre supposed to. I could be wrong. Im a photographer and have done a lot of photoshoots there. The backdrops are endless and the flowers are perfect for capturing timeless moments of babies. I cant rave enough about this park.

Wow this park is huge! Its set up really nice with a paved place for bikes and a separate area for walkers, as well as a nice little dirt road around the paved one. You could probably walk for 45 min and not make it all the way around. Theres a lovely pond where you can rent a paddle boat, or you can get a 1, 2, or 4 person bike. Its well maintained, with trash cans easily accessable and emptied often. There are also plenty of sports areas, playgrounds, and areas for cooking out or picknicking. My husband and I go on Pokemon Go dates, and there are tons of stops and gyms (for other Pokemon players). Its a lovely place to spend the afternoon!

A few days a week at Wash Park Rec Center is the best prescription for a happy heart. Its a great community combined with top rate fitness equipment. The 25 m pool is crystal clear, the weight room has all the tools you need and now theres a cardio room too. Lots of classes, lots of action all the time. You only need to visit once or twice before people will know your name and welcome you back. Dolly, Bill, Joe, Tommy and all the other staff are wonderful. Wash Park Rec Center is a great indoor playground for anyone who wants to keep their body active and their outlook upbeat.

Love this park! I would say one of the best in the Denver area. The running path is beautiful, and very up kept. Part shaded for the warm summer days, the atmosphere is very energizing. The inner loop is a great bike path! Along with people rollerbladding, skateboarding, and longboarding. The playground seems to be pretty large, and everyone is so nice, and welcoming. The tennis, basketball, and even croquet courts look very well maintained. We have since bought a vollyball net, and get to join the large field full of them. My dog loves all his walks here.

DONT PAY FOR A PICNIC SPOT AT WASH PARK (DENVER PARKS & REC)! Purchased a picnic spot from Denver Parks and Rec. After about an hour into our family oriented gathering, the ranger came by and harassed us. After making us get rid of our beer, half my party left. Ruined the picnic. Then she kept lurking around to make sure we stayed in compliance. Point being that they disabled our family party. Do yourself a favor and dont get a permit for your group as it just attracts attention of the rangers. Keep your family away from the "official picnic" areas.

Large park with trails around the outside, gravel and paved for walking, and paved for biking. Also has playgrounds for kids. A couple of covered areas for gatherings, and grills for...well grilling Can also play outdoor games within the large open grassy space, though Id watch out for the large amount of feces that is dropped by the huge population of terrifying Anser waterfowl...better known as mean, swooping, honking...geese.

Best park in Denver. Although they dont have enough tennis courts (10, maybe?) and the ones they do have need resurfacing. But they have a great running trail, and a separate trail for walkers/bikers. Perfect for meeting up with friends for BBQs, and always plenty of space for volleyball, soccer, ultimate, or just a game of hillbilly horseshoes or cornhole. This park seems to attract very cool people.

My vote for the best park in Denver. Its a little dead in the winter, but as soon as the weather warms up, so does Wash Park. Runners, bikers, and rollerbladers circle the park on the various paths while people rent paddle boats, play volleyball, and get some tennis going throughout the rest of the park. Always good vibes and good times here in the summer.

Great park in Denver. Plenty of grass to enjoy the day outside. Lots of volleyball and crowds on the weekend. Great running/biking trail to exercise or use for your commute. Tennis courts here as well. Bald eagles can be seen at Smith Lake on early winter mornings when the Lake is frozen. Also offers some mountain views if the day is clear.

This was a bustling yet beautiful location for my friends simple wedding. Parking for our section was very limited but it was easy enough to find a space in the neighborhood. We are from out of town and had heard mixed opinions so I was happy to see that it was a popular and well kept park. Seems very family friendly as well.

Have been going to Washington Park for almost 50 years... Great place to do many things paddle boats, bike rentals, dog walking, picnics you name it. Beautiful flowers in the summer and very well directed through out the park for joggers, bikers and bladders. If you are lucky there is even an eagles nest!

Great park with plenty of opportunities to be active. There are trails for biking, running, or walking; lots of open grassy areas for volleyball or laying out and relaxing; as well as two lakes, tennis courts, gardens, horseshoe pits, lawn bowling, kids playgrounds, and a recreation center to enjoy.
