Went their NYE for appetizers and drinks (the groupon deal). The place was empty, they had no live music because they were having a "Dance Party" at 9... This is a Jazz club, find your target audience and stick with it. No live music even though the website said that their house band was playing. Whatever, I can live with that. The place looks like 1990 collided with a discotheque. The music they had pumping out of wall speakers was bad fusion jazz. Ambiance was subpar to say the least. Then we ordered our wine and appetizers, which looking at regular menu prices was shocking. Very expensive bad bar food. We got the fish and chips and the hummus and chips. The Fish was fine, but the fries were overcooked and tasted old (maybe they double fried them to warm them back up?) The pita and chips was honestly something I could have made myself. Opening a bad of pita chips, and scooping humus into a plastic bowl. Everything about this place just screamed, "I dont care." For all that this place could be, it doesnt live up to expectations. Wont be going back, and frankly, dont see this place surviving. Oh and one more thing. Their number never works thats on their webpage, and who, who I asks still puts music on the webpage that plays automatically. 1990 called and want their webpage back.

The waitress was nice enough and the music was good. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were frozen in the middle. (Literally ice cold to the touch). The waitress was nice and sent them back and they did cook a second batch correctly (though not very tasty) and I was not going to write anything about it until the bartender was so extremely rude to me. After frozen chicken wings and all, he could not stop being very rude and condescending to me. He repeatedly told me how he was right and I was wrong. Again, I really hope that the chicken wings were pre-cooked before they were frozen because raw chicken is pretty scary.

Site says theyre open at 5pm today. Show up and the place is shut down. Not sure if theyre out of business or if they closed down because everyone called in sick. Who knows. But its unprofessional to say theyre open on the site and then they actually arent. I showed up on Monday at 6pm, which the site says is an "open for business day".

This is the perfect place for drinks after the movies. If you come in with a bucket of popcorn they will even tuck it out of the way for you. There is a little bar area in the entry way if you are lining for a quiet place to talk or head to the back for energetic live Jazz!

This is got to be one of the best places in Denver. Ive been there many times over the years and its always "On Hit"! With groups like Dotsero, Soul School and Skippy D and his band, you just cant go wrong!

Love this spot. Just when I was thinking Denver didnt have a jazz scene I stumbled upon Jacks. Great location, space environment and drinks. Few bands I have seen here have been talented and fun.

this is a wonderful place to hear the best jazz artist in the country. I loved it. I plan on visiting this establishment many times over. the food and drinks were great too. the staff is awesome
