Great venue. Very intimate and a perfect place to listen to some good music. Unfortunately the staff is very disappointing. Similar to Brannins story (see previous post), my friend and I were rudely harassed by the blue-haired bouncer named Dump Truck. He was unprofessional and inappropriately rude. As I walked in the door, I handed him my ID, held out my hands (so he could mark them) and told him I was under 21. He gave me a dirty look and and rudely said "Thats what IDs are for lady. And dont even think about trying to wash these xs off!" I didnt think much about it (except that it was a little impolite) but I later noticed as the show progressed that he kept close watch on my friends and me. My other friends were over 21 and drinking. Out of nowhere, this same bouncer guy comes up and aggressively tells me to leave because he saw me drinking, which was not the case. I politely and calmly tried to defend myself because I was mainly shocked. My friend simply told him that it was her drink. He immediately started pushing her around, down the stairs, then picked her up and took her outside. A little extreme, wouldnt you say? By the time I get outside, he is still up in her face yelling at her. I love the venue but after that experience with him, I wont be going back, at least not for a while. He was out of line. I know bouncers have to be aggressive in certain situations but this incident was an abuse of power. I love the Bluebird, but they really need to get a new bouncer.

5 stars for the artists and venue. So I have been told. And I have absolutely no reason to doubt this. If you can deal with the pathetic excuse for staff Im sure you and your friends will have a great time (-4 stars). I went to the blue bird for the first time last night. My 24-yr old ID taken by a rude and incredibly unprofessional blue-haired bouncer named Dump Truck because somehow looked fake to his trained eye. After dialing 911 (there is no other way to get your ID back) to have the police come, the bouncer still would not let me in with my Denver-police backed ID and ticket. I then asked why I was not being allowed in and the man, without giving reason, threw me back and started yelling at me. While the manager I spoke to was much more professional, he also offered absolutely no reason as to why I was not allowed in. I encourage anyone who has had a similar experience with this bouncer (or any other bouncers) to share your stories with fellow Googlers. Such great venues deserves to have staff that compliment the show and experience.

This world winning established venue historical archives in the records in many historical concerts but the most amazing show that Ive ever tried to see there was sold out and it was Lindsey Stirling she is a magnificent dubstep violinist with magnificent dance maneuvers. I would like to thank on behalf of the RTD committee of the Department of Transportation for allowing myself to demonstrate a stick figure of the girl I love and cherish. Historical archives will show and prove to the results through many different map applications of jurisdiction of line please refer to the jurisdiction of the line of the light rail that was probably registered in India for the vision of my love 1991 Denver board of directors of the committee Finance of investors Make-A-Wish Foundation™ Thank you for such a beautiful and well-preserved historical musical venue that always brings a a warm and fuzzy cozy atmosphere. The venue is cool, but on a day where it was -5 degrees their website says that doors open at 8pm, I showed up at 8:20 and they said they wouldnt be open for 15 more minutes. I told them I had severe asthma and asked if I could stand inside right next to the door and wait and they said no. I had also called about 10 times that day and posted on their facebook to find out about coat check with no answers or replies. So, 2 stars for the venue, 0 stars for operations and concern about customer service and care. Also, the phone line that they didnt answer is the one they refer people with disabilities to on their website (box office #) for planning accessability for a visit, so not answering that and not offering a voicemail is not okay at all.

This is a good - fun medium size venue. The decor reminds me of a rustic style classic theater. The best thing with this venue is there isnt a bad "seat" in the house. For those who enjoy the birds eye view, they have a decent size balcony to watch from. I knocked it down a star because I believe it could be kept more clean. I understand it hosts concerts, but it would be nice if more attention was paid to keeping it clean. Apologies in advance to those who wish they never knew, but Ive never seen it with clean curtains on the inside and the weird cultures growing on them always grosses me out.

Smaller venue so you wont be in the middle of a ton of people. Had a great time but I think it would be beneficial to have some seating aside from 6 or so stools. Some people (like me) cannot stand for hours on end. The bar is tiny and not a lot of selection. I did not enjoy the drink I had. It was a drink youd have at a college party, all cheap liquor with a splash of flavoring. All in all I will go back, I just wont drink and probably come closer to the time of the band Im interested in.

Number two in my top five small, indoor live music venues in Denver! I love this joint! Its warm and intimate like the Pepsi Center and other large arenas are utterly cold and disconnected from its audiences. This is where true artists come to share their work, not gouge their faceless fans for every penny they have. Great bands have left their mark here, and great memories still smolder brightly in the minds of other fans of this most excellent venue.

Nice that The Bluebird is small, but not expecting to stand all night (no seating), and once you find a spot someone will undoubtedly move in front of you Upstairs actually had a designated sitting area, but The Bluebird allows fans to stand at the upstaors railing, blocking any sitting customers from seeing the show! Fat Sallys before the show was good, but Ill be reluctant to go back to The Bluebird.

Scary neighborhood and the not only never answer the phones but they have an annoying menu that makes you press number keys and the it just tells you to visit their awful website. That said the venue itself is really nice inside for seeing a performance. They just need better customer service and a more professional website. The sketchy neighborhood they cant help.

The Bluebird is a great small venue that attracts a huge variety of bands and audiences. In the past month alone Ive been to R&B, rock, indie rock, electronic, and dream pop shows. The staff, for the most part, is friendly. My only complaint is the small bathrooms, but thats part of what comes with a small venue.
