Here the staff was friendly albeit a couple conversations left me to believe some were inexperienced as they could not seem to provide any answer without first checking with the head person. Access for big rigs is easy with wide roads and lots of maneuvering room, albeit the sites once parked... are very tight. They say 15 ft wide and that is tight for big rigs with slideouts. Attempted to put out our awning and it literally went over the neighbors slideout. The park is visually appealing and each site has it’s own trash can back of site. There is a lake but no swimming permitted. WIFI was strong but bandwidth extremely little. No cable but TV Reception Over The Air is good. We had 37 channels. Both Sprint and Verizon signals were good. We came here because the price ($35/day) is far less than most anything else in the area. From here we made trips to both Santa Cruz for a day (30 min) and Monterey for a day (45 min). Downside for big rigs is the 30 amp (no 50 amp).... and at our site the 30 amp would not hold even at a 25 amp draw (we have readouts to see the load). The breaker which kept tripping at 25 amp load is probably old and weak (site 21) and needs replaced. If we returned this way, think I would pay the high price to be somewhere without so many restrictions as this place (i.e. No smoking, drinking or leaving your pets in the rig). If you do not smoke, drink or have pets….and do not mind hearing your neighbors snore…. this will be a 5 star for you.

Short drive to Monterey and Carmel. We are former full timers so have been to a lot of RV parks. This park was quiet, the grounds were clean and the manager was very hospitable. Only down side was that mosquitoes showed up the last day we were there. The manager said we should complain to the city for not treating the lake. I would stay here again, but not if the blood suckers are around. It was unusually warm for the time of year that we were there, so maybe it caught them off guard. Another side note would be that we were there in the fall and not that many people were camping there. I could see a real problem with space during the summer months, because the sites are very narrow to say the least. That being said, good stop for snow birds visiting our beautiful state. *UPDATE* After my last visit I would have to change my 4 stars to 2 stars due to the influx of people staying here full time. Looking more like a run down trailer park than a camping designation.

Were full time RVers and this is our second time here. The staff is tremendously helpful and meticulous about the cleanliness of the park. Its so quiet during the days and having a key (yes, they give you a key) to the front gate is a nice touch as well as it makes coming and going pretty easy. The lake is a great sight to wake up to and the Santa Cruz Bay weather cant be beat. I love that Safeway (local grocery store) is only a 2 minute drive, and that the hardware store is even closer, yet, at the same time, it feels like youre in the country. Personally, we highly recommend this place. We WILL be back again. 15 minute drive to Santa Cruz. 40 minutes to Monterrey. 20 minutes to Gilroy.

Awesome place for Kids and families. The people at the gate were very helpful. Helped us out right away. The spots were close to each other which was perfect for us since we were having a reunion with grandparents and my sister. They put us right next to each other. All spots are easy access to lake and the playground was perfect for the kids. Grandpa went fishing, kids played on the playground all day and I just chilled with the family. Full hook-ups made it very convenient. Park is open to the public so can be busy during the day, but the staff walk the park often keeping it pretty peaceful. Will definitely be back next year.

This place is beyond ghetto. Ive been RV living for only 2 years but I have been to about 20 parks. This place is beyond nasty. It smells, bathrooms are always dirty, has no toilet protectors, some stalls have no doors or dont lock. The management is very biased. I used to be a city inspector and the violations here scare me. The toxic lake smells and is extremely dirty. The RV parking is done illegally and the spaces are 12-14 feet apart. I would never go back. If you can avoid this place. I can go on and on about this horrible place. You have been warned.

Great little inexpensive campground on a beautiful fishing lake with boat access. Very easy to get to, and exceptional staff who truly care about the quality of stay their patrons have. Restrooms were a bit rugged but you seriously cant beat the price. Full hook-ups. Wi-fi signal is great, and the free cable had more stations than I have at home. I will definitely be coming back here. Thank you to great staff Candy!

This is a very quiet park. The manager was very accomodating to our needs. The park has nice, level spaces and a nice lake to walk down to and an area to walk your pet around. Manager said she hasnt been here very long, but is working on getting area maps, etc. to hand out, so she is trying to accomodate the needs of the out-of-town campers. I would definitely stay here again.

We found staff friendly and helpful, even allowed our extra guests to stay late (4 extra cars of families) and gave us key to let them out of locked campground. Played baseball! Went fishing! My grandchild loved the playground. Very quiet and peaceful. Campers are close but you do have full hookup. Felt secure. Woke to lovely songs of birds.

Very nice place! Cheap, quiet and clean, kids friendly with a nice playground. A good alternativ to the rv parks along the cost. In a perfect distance from the RV rentals in San Francisco ,if you are a turist and on your way along the cost. Not too far from other turist spots and with good roads in all directions.
