The park itself is nice. But it is misused by the public. Dog walkers do not pick up after their dogs. The walking path smells of dog poop and you have to watch where you step. In the evening young pot smokers think the park is a great place to get high. You should not have to smell weed all over the place when you walk in the park. There is no security or police presence at the park to discourage this activity. The potheads are often by the childrens play area and ball field, again no security.

Beautiful shady beach type sand (no water) park, different than all the rest. Surrounded by lots of grass, picnic tables and shaded trees. Men playing Dominos and lots of little groups doing tai chi. Big colorful structures of whales, lighthouses, dragons, ect, with slides for your little ones to play on, (bring beach toys). No normal type playground equipment. Very worth spending a morning or evening at before the heat kicks in.

The playground has some really cute animal slides but they can definitely use some new paint job and repairs. They should add a synthetic track to the park for running and/or biking. In the Summer they have a Farmers Market in their already limited parking on Thursdays but there really isnt anything interesting to buy.

Loved it first of all for its pirate themed playground. Packed with many different sea creature slides, including its own shipwreck rocks to climb on, and a lovely lighthouse (also a slide) this park has it all. Plus i believe they might have a baseball team there? They have a ball diamond W/ scoreboard!!!

Monster Park within Vincent Lugo is amazing. It was built in the 60s and has a giant octopus, whale, sea serpents, snail, etc., for kids to play on. A must to go at least once. Not the safest playground by todays standards but as long as youre with your kids it should be ok. Very cool place; kids love it!

Nice, small park. There is a tiny trail to go on where you can see the Alhambra Wash. I have seen some people run on this but I think it is a bit short. Come here to enjoy the nature and great view of the San Gabriel Mountains. Park is clean and well kept. Lighting gets a little weak after it gets dark.

Great atmosphere for kids and family. The park is very clean and the playground for kids is very well maintained. My son plays baseball and we have games here often. The snack bar at the park is always clean and has a variety of snacks. I would recommend this park and I will be coming back here often.

Its so clean! Theres a giant part for the kids to play in full of slides and beach themed sandbox. Theres also a big grass area completed with shaded benches. There are also restrooms and vending machines. I highly recommend going to this park especially if you have kids!

We stumbled upon Vincent Lugo Park when looking for a place to eat our bahn mi. The park is very nicely laid out with little bridges, native flowers and a great picnic area. I would love to recommend this place but wont because I want to keep it myself, jk :)

The stupid soda machine took my money .. Refill your soda machine . Instead of it taking peoples money and the restroooms have a bad smell and it doesnt feel safe anymore theres a sign that says theres coyotes in this park (DO NOT COME TO THIS PARK)

I have a lot of fond memories as a little kid enjoying all the slides in the back corner of the park. I recently went back to catch pokemon and I was glad to see its been preserved well so kudos to the city and to the staff that maintains it all.

Yes, your 3 year old might get a concussion here. With its concrete play structures where adventurous toddlers will want to climb the hilly side after one trip up the stairs, "Monster Park" is not for overprotective parents.

I used to come to this park practically everyday when i was a kid, my all time favorite. I wish to bring my kids here expect i heard its closed! What the hell, they should of left it as is. I love that place<3

Beautiful park with a restroom, a baseball field, plenty of trees, benches, and shade, cool water fountains (doggy fountain as well) and a nice little trail that goes across the park.

Unsurpassed locally for the beautiful work on the landscape, and the density of Pokémon spawns. Try not to pet the coyotes though.
