a hidden gem!!! :D Came here with my friend to see a very talented performer :) My friend is a huge fan of Jane Lui (she is AAAAMAAAZING!!! please look her up) and she had her first LA show (?) at hotel cafe. She baked yummy treats for everyone! The place is very intimate, low key, standing lounge. Its a lil hard to find and you enter from the back. Its a place to enjoy live music by talented up and coming artists. Please show up in comfy shoes. Its dark-lit so no one will see your pretty feet, might as well be comfortable ;) There are few chairs and bar stools to sit on if you show up early. Parking/traffic is never fun in Hollywood. Leave early so you wont be late.

What great place. Whoever decorated the interior is a genius for it is absolutely beautiful. Hotel Cafe has a really good intamate feel. One could feel like they are in the livining room of the artist they are hearing. There are several rooms which allow for a seating area, a bar, and two music areas (one that hold about 80 people and the other holds around 200). There seemed to be three bar areas, a smoking patio, and lots of seating outside the music areas. Parking can be tight, so plan on arriving a little early so that you can find a paid parking that is close to the venue. There is street parking but that is limited.

I love Hotel Cafe! Its a really small venue but intimate. They have the bar on the side and a small stage at the back with a few tables and chairs. I have been here 2x once when they are not busy and another time when they had a more popular performer (Meiko). The first time I went it was an unknown local band. So, my friends and I were able to get seats. But, for Meiko it was really packed. It was already full early on. Theres a parking garage next to the venue (entrance is behind the alley) but I think it is $10. The sound system is good so, no issues with the sound. I definitely have to come back soon.

How could you say anything bad about this place?! Its a cozy little venue with good acoustics. There is parking, for $10 right next door. When I came to see Lapsley, it was a full house, but the bartender was on it and constantly walking around to make sure people were happy. They have a full bar so we got some drinks and were able to really enjoy the music. Since the place is a little small, that wasnt much seating, so be advised to come a bit early if you cant stand for long.

Intimate. Food and drinks reasonably priced (my friend and I paid $32 together). Kind and professional staff. If you arrive early enough, there is $7 parking right behind. And the TALENT.... oh my goodness. ALICE SMITH WAS INCREDIBLE!! We had seats that were two feet from the stage, close enough to see the little dimple in her chin and hear every drop of her superb vocals!!! WHAT A RELAXING EVENING! Will definitely be going back and taking more of my friends.

My wife and I went to the Hotel Cafe to see Truth and Salvage Company. What a great place, wonderful crowd and great service. The bar tenders all had smiles on there faces and servered you as fast as they could. The drinks where great, not watered down and a very fair price considering what other places in the area charge. If you get a chance to go there please do, it will be work the trip especially if Truth and Salvage are playing.

Went to the Hotel Cafe to see James McCartney last summer. A delightful venue. The perfect place to see/hear a singer/songwriter or folk musician. Brick walls, the right size, good sound, a few snacks and drinks, ambiance, gracious staff. It reminded me of fun visits to the Ice House Pasadena back in the 70s when it was more of a folk music venue. I left pleased with my visit and will be happy for an opportunity to return.

My first experience at The Hotel Cafe was perfect. Easy Street parking (as long as you show up a little early), lots of cool places to grab a bit or take a "tourist" picture. The venue itself boasts great staff, awesome atmosphere and near perfect sound. Kudos to the sound techs there - Ive never heard better sound in any small venue. If you ever have the chance to check this place out - do it, you wont be disappointed!

The atmosphere is great and very intimate if youre lucky enough to get a seat. Tonight was out first time and we enjoyed it. The waitress/ bartender who brought our drinks was very attentive to us needed more. Will enjoy to go back. The place doesnt offer parking or Reservations. There is a near by parking for $10.00 on the same street like 15 steps.

Always a great time when Im here. Theres a small parking lot down the alleyway (usually $10) next to the venue but theres plenty of parking on the street as well if you can make it there early enough. Fun and friendly venue that allows you to be in a really intimate environment with the performers. Love it here!

I absolutely love The Hotel Cafe every time I go! From classic drinks, to amazing entertainment on a weekly basis, its a local favorite! Intimate, formal if need be, not on the list of Hollywood tourist traps and a nice spot to see local musicians! If you have a chance to see a gig here, by all means go!

If there was one favorite destination of mine in Hollywood, it would have to be Hotel Cafe. It is one of the best places to listen to great music with many talented artists. Shawn Hlookoff, Trevor Lissauer, Coby Brown and so many talented artists that have performed there are now my Ipod playlists!

Whenever I want to get out of the house and listen to some really good music sipping on a drink, the hotel Cafe is my place to go. I usually dont like to look up the talent playing that night cuz I like to be surprised when I get there. This place is also good for dates if you want to enjoy music.

un lugar demasiado pequeno para ser un bar, demasiado calor a causa de las luces del escenario y las cortinas son horribles

Great intimate venue to see all the singer songwriters who play here. Ive been fortunate to see Meiko, Damien Rice, and others...and happy to run into Radiohead here a few years back on a rainy MLK Monday (Nigel Godrich was DJing)!

Bad parking situation. Arrive early to get a table for your group or it is standing room only. Best to carpool as the walk from parking can be blocks away. Not the best area for walking alone. Good music and simple food.

I like my first experience here. Helping singers achieve their dream is amazing, thats why they have different singers everyday. But most of all I liked their service. Warm greetings and very approachable staffs!

This place rocks. Good music, good crowd, good drinks. Cool alley entrance and you can take your drinks to the tables just outside. The only drawback is the size of the venue pretty small for the crowd it draws.

Greatest place to consistently see the highest quality singer-songwriters.You cant go wrong. I go as often as I can, even without knowing who is playing there, every musician is a pro and respects the venue.
