Me gusta. No es un parque recto. Tiene lomas. Muchos patos y gansos. Y del estacionamiento se ve parte del down town de Los Angeles. Cuando atardece es muy admirable. Y ves como el sol se va perdiendo entre los arboles. Todo esta perfecto. Solo los sanitarios. Se deberian de modificar a un diseño mas limpio y agradable. Y ampliarlos. Por que vienen muchas personas. V

Wish there were more photos of Hollenbeck Park when it was a horse race track. My father was the paint contractor from 1963 till it closed in 1972 and then went up to Calder Race Track. I worked there part time during the summers and time when not in school. Brings back so many wonderful memories in the springtime of my life. Everyone I worked with as well as my parents are gone now so there are only memories. Now I am in the late fall, I hope, and often think of these times. There used to be some very LARGE bass in the lake. Think a friend of mine caught an 10 pounder on day. Maybe I will stop by if I go to my 50 year Coral Park high school reunion in four more years.

Muy Tranquilo y bonito, lo malo es que siendo un parque cerraron los baños segun tengo entendido por culpa de algunas personas sin hogar que ahi se bañaban y hacian sus necesidades fuera del excusado...

I was actually surprised at how clean the park is. I have to thank the staff for going around and cleaning up after people who dont clean up after themselves. Depending on which part of the park youre in, you can get some great views of downtown Los Angeles. Midweek and middle of the day is the best time to visit. Not a whole lot of people. You can really sit back and enjoy a day in the park.

When I was one year old my parents and aunts took me with them to the park for a picnic. I have a photo of me in my rompers squatting on the lawn. Somehow I wandered off from the family. When they discovered that I was missing - they all became frantic and began searching for me. Particularly frightening to them was the nearby lake. But It all ended happily. This happened 85 years ago.

I just pass thru on my daily bike ride. The park happens to be at the south end of a newly constructed bicycle/walking-jogging path that starts at Haskett Library on Broadway and runs south/north along the nursery from Orange Ave to Lola Ave. where Hollenbeck Park starts. Google maps needs to update this. I sent the correction over a month ago.

Fix up this park D: it makes the boyle heights community make it look like crap plus the people who go here and chill are wierdos and creeps half the time the look at young girls so much pervs around here. If your looking to go to a better park go to Echo Park where its cleaner and dont gotta worry on what you stepping on and dealing with.

This is a really great park despite the fact that there are homeless, creeps and weirdos, its a really nice park. Its great to go hang out enjoy the view of the lake and enjoy the fresh air!(: also youll see A LOT of people going there to take pictures for XV, Weddings, Baptisms, etc... Like many visitors who do not live in this neighborhood, I came here to play Pokemon Go, specifically to catch Bulbasaurs, because its considered to be a Bulbasaur habitat. The fountains are beautiful! There are plenty of ducks using the pond and of course there will be some duck droppings, but I did not expect the smell.

Dont get me wrong, its a great park but currently their fixing around the lake, so theres fenses around half of it and a lot of dirt paths. You have to get slightly out of the way to actually walk around the whole park because if this. Also, 6 Poke Stops and two gyms, for anyone interested.

Great park. It has like a small like with ducks. People are always selling ice cream and snacks. There are tables and there is a cool bridge. There is also like a small sort of looking like a house were you can go and see the lake and be in the shade. I really enjoy coming here to relax.

Freaks come out at night,was there for a walk. And two weirdos were staring at my friend and i behind a tree and a bush. Theyre peeping toms. If you want a sudden rush of adrenaline I recommend it, if youre scared easily this isnt the park for you. Overall creepy at night.

Excellent local park with lots of residents who exercise in the evening. Currently the park is I see renovation to clean the lake out naturally using old agricultural techniques. The footpath is also being repaired and making the park look Morrissey and lively.

This park is pretty Gheto, theres a known gang who hangs out in the ally thats attached to this park. Needless to say, this is still the go to spot when me and my friends are trying to drugs in broad daylight

Very well maintained, quiet, and beautiful. Restrooms at one end, some construction going on at other end. U can walk around the pond, just lovely!
